Doonesbury, Dilbert & th' Peanuts are all good stuff, i was a "techy" for NCR in australia for 7 years, & am still a "techy" so i like Dilbert & the other characters in that strip. I love cartoons & cartoonists, from the English press's propaganda in the Napoleonic wars to the modern. Favourites internationally : Ronald Searle, a New York cartoonist from the 70's ? Jules Ffeiffer,( not sure of that spelling offhand) his book "Sick, Sick, Sick" with the little boy who gets draft'd into US army cartoon, John Lennon's "Spaniard in the works" , i have a 2nd ed, found for 50 cents in charity shop Bellarine peninsula Victoria is humour more than strict "cartoonist" classsification. There are some really good English hardcopy's from 1950's of French cartoonists as well as English cartoonists. Some really good cartoons were print'd by the "erotica"magazine publishers because they print'd in colour & on higher quality paper than newspapers, i have a large hardcover USA "Esquire" book of cartoons from the early 1960's that's brilliant. Aussie cartoonists, Michael Luenig, Bruce Petty & so many others. the English Punch magazine through all it's forms over the years it was publish'd. It's a great way for an artist to reach an audience, & the net provides unlimit'd opportunities, like the NZ "beach'd as, parch'd as whale who can't eat "chups" & needs ter git wit esep" cartoon on youtube.
