I read somewhere that if a player misses 2 turns they are CD. Is this any kind of turn, including builds? What happens if they are CD, are they no longer in the game and anyone else can take their units?

Attn moderators: please cancel the game Adagio
I meant to set the turn length to 60 hours but it has turned out that the turn is 10 hours which is way too quick. Any chance you might be able to cancel this game so I can create another game with a slower turn phase. Please?

To spoil your effort, you can find properties of all numbers in the Wikipedia.

28 is the second perfect number.

6 is also the Ramsey number of 3.

If you are in a group of 6, there are always 3 people that never did a handshake which other (pair wise) or 3 people that did a handshake with each other (pair wise).

The real test of ability is to find the errors in a given Wikipedia article/entry...

1 is easy,
2 is the 'crossword at breakfast',
3 is the challenge for a train journey to work,
4 is the 'Why don't I write a new entry myself' level, and
5 is the 'real man' test before lunch draws your attention to that very pretty looking girl in the next office, etc.

Unlike the Encyclopedia Britannica where 1 error qualifies you for a whole page to yourself in Wikipedia and 2 earns you a Nobel Prize.

jbalcorn (429 D)

There must be something more interesting about 26 than the number of letters. That's not pure math.

13: the first number after the 'named' numbers, i.e. zero through twelve. The first number that has a compound name?

Hmm. Not really in Spanish. That's actually 16, isn't it. once, doce, trece, catorce, quince, dies y seis...

It is in German - elf, zwolf, dreizehn....

So it's a Germanic language thing.
Xapi (194 D)

That would be Dieciseis (Diez y seis)
bh (898 D)

They're all interesting.
The number '1' is interesting.
Let k be the first uninteresting number. By definition, all numbers n < k are interesting. k is the first uninteresting number -- which is interesting.
Therefore, by induction, all numbers are interesting.

QED.

sceptic_ka (100 D)

@bh: that only works on countable numbers, N, Z, Q,....
what about real numbers and complex numbers?

I gave a similar proof in the other thread... which really only proves that no one can write down a boring number.

@sceptic_ka: All members of uncountably infinite sets are boring. ;-)

@jbalcorn - I'll think you'll find it's a homophone.
I like these (almost, well vaguely, mathematical) quotes:-

"He's chased me across distances you couldn't even write down."
"All religions are true, for different values of 'true'".
"665 - the neighbour of the beast."
"Pence make pounds, pounds make stones, stones make walls and walls make sausages."
"Black holes are were God divided by zero."

For example: Barbara Feldon - Secret Agent 99

The Largest Supersingular Prime - 71
Steve Rubell - Studio 54
WTA Blackjack -21
WTA Spinal Tap Speaker Limit - 11

'Surviving'
I have clicked on my profile name and found out something interesting.
I have won one game (thank you CDers). I have lost one. I have 'survived' two.
Yet on both of my survival games, I have 0 SCs as I was totally wiped out by the power to get to 18 and take the Win. Now without wanting to downgrade my stats, this hardly ranks in my mind as 'survival'.
Are there any other anomalies in the stats like this?
