University Students
So I know there's a whole range of ages on this site, but since I'm myself doing this out of a dorm room, it occurred to me that a lot of the folks here might be college students, checking this site habitually between classes after (or before) facebook.

Is anybody else here a college student? And if so, where?

Moderator needed...
We have a game stuck on pause (game 7771) in which all contestants have voted for a draw except for one who hasn't logged in since Tue, Jan 06.
At what point can a moderator declare this game a draw?

I am in Autumn 1904, Retreats and I just got a message posted in Spring of 1904. Is anyone seeing messaging issues in their games?

Question on multiaccounting
Before you all start flaming against me, I am merely curious I have niether the time nor the inclination to attempt what I am inquiring about.
If some one makes multiple accounts, but never uses them in the same game, thereby not cheating, is it still wrong and ban-able?
A possible ligit use for this would be to play more games than you can on one accounts limited points.

Moderator... draw game requested.
Game 7771 has been paused for a week, with 6 members voting for a draw. The remaining member has not logged in since Tue Jan 06. Can a moderator make this draw?

Mult- Accounting
Alrite, so i got accused of mutli-acounting. It was true. I had three acounts. One was following the rules, word by word. The other two, they were in games together.

Problem with Saturday's roll
I don't remember exactly, but I am pretty confident I finalized my moves late Friday night (GMT), or at least, made them and updated, but not finalized waiting for some late information exchange. And in two of my games (at least) these moves didn't went through.

A fleet in Gascony or Brest couldn't attack Paris could it?
Paris is inland, so that tells me no, but I'm not leaving it up to chance. Why is the option to build a fleet in Paris there if it's inland anyways?

Support rule clarification
(See game at http://phpdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=7628 for reference)
Russia: Budapest supports Gal ->Vienna, Rumania supports hold @ Budapest
Austria: Serbia -> Budapest
Shouldn't the support from Rumania allow Budapest to support the move to Vienna? Thanks for replying.

Rules Question
I know I should know this - but I never really had to worry about it. question is about supporting another country's move into a province one of your units is holding in.
Pandarsenic (1485 D)

You can't support a dislodge of one of your own units.
Babak (26982 D(B))

scenario:

Turkey:
A Bul hold
A Con s Rum to Bul

Russia:
A Rum to Bul

nothing else affects this area.

is the support void or does the order work?
Pandarsenic (1485 D)

Clarification of prior point: the support isn't void but the order doesn't work.

However, this has applications - if you have 2 armies adjacent to an occupied territory of yours that you need to use to, say, cut support or seize a center, you can send those 2 at your own territory and have the territory's army move. I'll give an example later if someone else hasn't.

Basically, the support order is only void for the purpose of seeing whether you have dislodged the unit.

This implies two things:
1. If the enemy sends two units to the same territory, your use of two units still counts as a two-on-two and everything bounces. (That is, the support order is NOT voided for determining bounces.)
2. Ignoring the first scenario now: If your supposed ally uses a third unit, belonging to him, to support the attack as well, then your support is voided for the determination of the dislodge-- but his is not, and assuming nothing else happens your unit will be dislodged anyway. (That is, adding your own support to an impending dislodge will not cancel the dislodgement, if the original dislodgement is sufficient to dislodge without your help.)

thanks guys. i think I knew (should have known) this already
