All day and night effectively, but I will personally be on from late morning through late evening EST on all three days. However, other mods will overlap as best as we can to keep an eye on games.

I'd like to make the cleaning up of live games one of my long term goals of my administratorship, but the first thing is getting more users playing live games that are free of cheating. Can't make any promises about preventing bad play though ;)

I will be on mod patrol and ~might~ play a round of full press live games one of those nights. Live games used to be my bread and butter back when I was starting out and had more free time to devote to them, and per the Ghost Ratings I've done fairly well in them. I think they're a great alternative format for players of a particular skillset - in live games, it's the speed of your communications and decision-making that counts almost as much as the depth of them. It's a different kind of game, one that I'd encourage everyone to try out at some point.

Live games are a ton of fun. I hope I will get a chance to play in some of these games. But I highly recommend to anyone reading this, give it a try, especially since the quality of these games will probably be pretty high, judging from the people who have already said they will be playing.

I won't play as I don't have a solid 3 hr free anymore, but I will do spot check on live games.

PE, by the way, is one of the best live full press players I've seen and played against. He taught me quite a bit when I first started out. So, if you get a chance, I would encourage you to play one against PE.

Being able to type quickly is definitely an advantage here.

For live games, make sure you put in critical orders and Save them IMMEDIATELY. Then try to do some press and make adjustments.

And...play on a computer, not a phone. ;)

A live full press is tough, but really only for the first few turns. Gets much easier once countries start to get eliminated.

I actually have the opposite philosophy: send your first round of press, then save a draft set of orders, then write more press and edit orders as needed. This works for me until I have 13+ units, at which point I put in orders first because it takes so long.

Looks like The Minister is going to cover the overnight shift for you west coasters and Pacific Islanders (do we have any of those?) so I look forward to some great games over the next few days.

The real question is: how many of my multis do the mods think they can catch?

Usually the answer would be none, abge, because every time someone sends you their Chase account number, you've been embezzling from those accounts in order to fund your extravagant lifestyle which includes massive payoffs to each of the moderators and admins to "look the other way" as you like to say. However, you haven't given me a single payout yet. Is that going to change before tomorrow night or do I have to hunt you down...

This and 11 other accounts I control were created to fill slots in a large game with some friends. We wanted to play the 17 player map with less than 17 people (we are aware of balance issues with this), and our schedules are varied which disallows us from having shorter turns.

To be fair, he really can't do that. He's a +1 whore and he'll do anything for it: create a cool thread, create a live game event, be witty, snort cocaine, etc.

I agree with PE, live games are a great way to hone your game so you're as concise and to the point as possible without losing the detail in your plans. Being able to think and react quickly is a big bonus. Live games constitute the majority of the games I've played and the majority of games where I've had the most fun have been live games. A couple of good results and I might be able to steal 2nd place on the live game rankings, too...
