I am sorry if I was unclear. We do not welcome your site at ours. SYnapse admitted that we have this right. We do not want any relationship with your site. Our site is about Diplomacy and playing Diplomacy, not arguing endlessly with a select few on some other sites. If Oli and the Vdip community feel that your site has something to add, then let them be affiliated with yours. We are not and we do not.
Feel free to debate this at your site or Vdip.

Thanks for your response. There are some things that you don’t know about my relationship with Kestas which also lead you to believe that I am a nobody member of the site causing problems with a little forum. So let me make this clear:

-I did not attack the site code out of frustration, I have worked with Kestas on vulnerabilities as I have experience of white-hat hacking from my teenage years. I also faked mod e-mails to demonstrate the risks of social engineering. Some of this was not shared with the moderation team by my request.
-The rules page was heavily re-written by me about a year to correct grammatical errors and inconsistencies.
-I have a vDip developer badge and have worked with Oli on other things besides variant construction, such as testing.

I don’t care about your business with Oli, but you are not his personal keepers and he has agreed to partially endorse my website. I agreed to remove the affiliation line as per his request to keep Diprepublic impartial.

Please respond to my claim that Jamiet99uk openly slanders my forum. I cannot control the posts of my users any more than you can.

You are either very disingenuous or incompetent. As a website devoted to Diplomacy it is an utter failure. You have no info linking people to some of the most popular Diplomacy resources and a vast majority of your posts are either about webDip or completely unrelated to Diplomacy. It is very clear that your website serves no purpose other than as an asylum for people to talk about webDip outside the reach of the mods.

With that being said, I see no reason you shouldn't be allowed to advertise for your site, pathetic as it is, here. It was not my understanding that the mods were going to personally vet every site that was linking in the Forum.

But, seriously, put together a site worth going to and cut the webDip shit. It's disgraceful.

Zultar, I do understand that you don’t owe me anything and reserve the right to refuse my publicity. I am not completely irrational as to knowing why you would do this.

However, it strikes me as naïve to ignore the opportunity of voicing your concerns to me directly so that I can try to approach them and look for solutions. This is different to affiliation, it is just addressing joint concerns from one independent website to another whose communities cross-over.

@ All - I would appreciate if both Zultar and Synapse would please support what I am about to suggest. I suggest this thread be locked. It is a breeding ground for more unnecessary conflict in our community, and a red herring to more pressing matters on this site (such as the RR updates, and other code related features we requested). It is my final opinion that both sites can, should, and will exist simultaneously and without the aggressive banter of this thread or any other thread. I think it is within the interest of both WebDip and DipRep supporters to lock this thread and nay other thread related to the DipRep Issue. I do however support DipReps freedom to comment on and criticize this site just as any site can do, without DipRep users being threatened by persecution here.

I agree with CommanderByron. I am not interested in spending more time on this and would rather spend more time actually developing the site, site features, tournies and so forth. I will lock this thread and any other thread related to SYnapse's site.

Users at SYnapse's site will not be threatened or persecuted here as they are not affiliated with our site in any way.

Feel free to debate this issue on any other site while the rest of us here enjoy Diplomacy related stuff.
