And if questioning the official government explanation for 9/11 is disrespectful, would it not also be disrespectful to question, say, the official government explanation for the sinking of the USS Maine?

Thousands of Americans (and hundreds of thousands - at least - of non-Americans) died as a result of government reactions to 9/11 - close to (if not more than) twice as many as died in the 9/11 attacks. I think it would be disrespectful to them not to explore whether or not the stated justifications given by our government were true or not - especially as we see now how much they were outright falsehoods. If the political class can simply hide behind the dead and order us to obey them in the name of decency and respect for those in the grave, what incentive do they have to keep us alive?

Literature versus medicine/science is purely subjective. I view literature that doesn't pass on scientific knowledge as to be of lesser value than the scientific knowledge and skills of medicine. No one was ever kept physically alve because they read Anne Frank's diary...

I believe 19 Arab men hijacked four civilian airliners and three of them crashed into buildings, causing the collapse of the World Trade Center towers and the deaths of almost 3,000 people. Beyond that, I have only doubts and questions about the official narrative (such as it is) that will never be answered.

Now that is a reasonable view. Never trust a politician to be 100% forthcoming but trust that the general facts are true while searching for more information to further your knowledge.
