Tyran, speaking as one of the other people not in a financial situation that allows me to donate, I'll tell you that in my year+ on this site this is the first time someone tried to shame people into it. Don't worry about it.

Draug will occasionally making a topic highlighting that donating is an option, but it is just that, an option. Don't feel obligated. Now, that being said, the people who HAVE done it do deserve recognition, and I don't fault them that...and I appreciate every one of them for having done it. Thanks guys...yes, even Nigee.

I normally avoid pay-to-play sites like the plague, but that isn't what this site is. I'd been playing here for a couple of years when Kestas asked for donations to help the site. I'd really enjoyed playing here so I donated. I still enjoy playing here, so if Kestas asks again I'll probably donate again.

Why is that everyone here thks unforced donation is good....and yet you insist the government take a huge chunk of my paycheck by force? I'd rather be forced to pay for this, and get the government out of every aspect of my life where they don't belong.It's really a fascinating hypocrisy we have running here...

I love the fact that site is free, that is what makes it work and the reason why I joined, I contributed out of respect for the people who made the site, manage the site and the gamers that contribute to the site. Maybe I'm a bad man for mentioning it and making people feel bad, not bad enough to pay, just bad enough to criticize me :-)

I'd just like to take the opportunity to say thanks to all who have made this site what it is - through work, donations, discussion, or just presence and game play. I haven't been here long, but I can already see a lot of character and characters, a lot of different kinds of people adding up to something pretty damn cool.

Being out of work for the summer, I can't donate yet but I've had lots of free time to play!

I hate when people put one of the long links in a header message for a forum post, then until it falls of the first page the entire site ends up with weird formatting and has a scroll bar at the bottom. Is this only in chrome, or do Firefox and IE users get this issue too?

@jmo, I'm on FireFox and don't notice any weird formatting. There is a useless scrollbar at the bottom of the page, but it isn't causing me any problems.

Oh, and when I'm on my phone, I use safari and it happens to me.

I'll cough up for an Android App! Build it, post it in the store and let me buy it.

This site works perfect on Chrome for my Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7. Don't really see a need for an app.

It's not that we're broke, it's just that this is a free site and if we can afford to give a donation, we will. As Draugnar said, this isn't a billed site and we can play for free. We should be grateful that people even donate and encourage it only if the person can. Nigee's attitude will drive away many people.

Why would people care if I suggest that people pay for services rendered. We live in a market economy where it is completely normal and acceptable to hand over cash for goods and services, many of us do this almost daily.
The fact that I highlight this fact on a website where so many people champion the capitalist system but are happy to avoid paying is beautifully contrary. As I said before so many people willing to embrace socialist principles when they are asked to put their hand in their pocket ........ free loaders

Btw, I'm currently working on a webDip translation. I don't know how much he donated, but my time isn't THAT cheap. Not to mention the vDip variants I created over there. The freeloaders contribute to the site by virtue of logging in. Enjoy creating a donators only live game ;)

@uly - If someone other than Nigee created it, I might join. But dark humor or not, I wouldn't join that kind of invitational created by Nigee cause he doesn't get that new folk don't necessarily see the humor.
