Obvious question: why do you need to?

Couldn't you find examples from games already on the site? I guess so though, sounds reasonable enough. When is said club?

Idea: make these test accounts public, so anyone can use them for adjudication/demonstration/education purposes.

You could always try out Realpolitik, it's perhaps a little less user friendly than JDip (and a bit uglier) but a solid program nonetheless. http://realpolitik.sourceforge.net/

@Onar - Or make 7 of these accounts under site control and let people use them when they explained when and why, rather than risk them being exploited. Would have to talk to the others about the whole proposal first though

Thucy, I know this may sound obvious, but walk me through what you did/see. I'm no computer genius, but I have played with jDip successfully on my Mac.

It starts up with an empty window, and menus at the top, and to start a 'game' you'd do file->new->game. I assume this is already beyond what you can get at?

Thuc, go to the java site (java.sun.com) and make sure you have the latest runtime. Install it if you don't. That should make the jar runnable. If not, I'll walk you through the command line to get it running.

Also, regarding this 'showing off' of webdip: why not just d/l webdip and run it locally to show it off? Seems like you are using a production product (this site) to do test/demo stuff. Test/demo stuff should be run in user acceptance or certification style environments (same hardware and stuff as prod, but meant for high level final testing, not real usage).

btw - you want the java runtime environment (JRE), but if you have a hard time finding that, just get the java software development kit (JDK), as it has the JRE inside of it.
