Its a good thing the arsenal squad aren't so vindictive though, because we come up against former players so frequently!
Penalizing Neville: yeh, not sure about that either.
For order and disciplin I think the biggest issues are to:
a) Allow 1 player at a time to question the referee's decision. In rugby this is the captain, but that's just impractical in football - the captain may be at the other end of the pitch. Rather, allow 1 player to calmly ask for an explanation, and make it a yellow-card offence for another to complain.
b) Allow video evidence. Oh yes, it still hasn't happened but video technology could help in so many ways, both for goalline, extreme challenges and events off the ball.
c) Related to (b), increase the powers of the governing body to make decisions after a game has finished, including overturning cards, or suspending players for events the referee did see but judged incorrectly.
