Yeah but the end sucked. Not taking anything away from figles but we had the stalemate lines set up and for some damn reason doofman attacked Germany!!! It was WTA!!!! All he had to do was fall back to Spain. He had Por and I was supporting him from MAO and I had that supported too! He gave the game away. I was sooo pissed when I saw the Spring turn. He was playing for sc's in a WTA game. That's why I stuck him in the end just so he'd know what an idiot he was.

Oh well. I hope the people I'm playing with in the cup understand how to get a Draw and not just count sc's!

I think I would still have been able to get through you&Germany because in the NE you hadn't managed to sort out the situation. Also, in fairness I'd made two big mistakes by then anyway - once misordering so I didn't take Warsaw a few years before and then the idea of taking over turkey which meant I wasn't ready to take advantage of it :S
As a side point, in defence of Italy, I was going to fight my way through him anyway, so I expect he was very worried I would wipe him out completely. Indeed, I wouldn't have taken the draw with him in it anyway, so thats probably fair enough.

Yeah but he had enough sc's in France to support the builds he needed to hold the SM line he just refused to give up Italy but he lost it anyway AND broke the SM line. I'm studying the board and I don't see how you could have reached 18 if Italy had retreated a fleet to Spain. Care to tell me how you would have done it?

No, I didn't think I'd reach 18, but I would have supported you to kill him rather than take the 4-way.

well to be honest i´ve been travelling and didn´t have the time to study the moves closely to see what was going with supports and stalemates, well not since the first few years anyway..
and i was hoping for it to be over ASAP, sorry if i didnt let you get the draw C-K but then again i agree with Figle.. he would have overrun us..

In fact it was a very good game, till the point C-K mentioned...

I can't understand the objective of attacking burgundy at that time... figle...I think you were stalemated in munich, berlin and Stp...
Italy was the one not getting that he had to move his fleets (especially portugal) to the med in orders to stalemate you there and allow england to help him doing it.... England supported him and me more than once in an attempt of showing that attacking us would be stupid because that would give the win to Austria.

Don't want to take the merit from you, but I'm sure that if Italy was more experienced player you would finish in a draw.

I think we lost to much time fighting in the North...
In the beggining I really wanted to ally with you, but the idea of having an english army in belgium seemd to threatning... I bounced in belgium, not taking it, but stopping you from convoying a turn after you tryed to convoy (my) denmark (that was agressive too...). You tried it, so I had to take belgium....

Anyway, it was an awsome game and I hope to play with some of you in the future.

Yeah that's true about the northern fight and I thought long and hard about that convoy. That was the only turn I didn't finalize right away I believe and it was because I didn't know what to do. Bel was vunerable and you were growing so quickly. I figured you wouldn't like me on your head and you didn't have any other enemy at the time so I decided to risk it. It was a mistake in hindsight but at the time I was afraid of you over running me. I was hoping that if Aus saw that I wasn't on your side then he might see you as a potential target, thus sparing me a defeat. The same stategy worked against France as Italy ate him up from down under. I was afraid of the Italian invasion to I got that build from StP. Then Italy moved to fight in France and I thought I was in a good position. Then when we all voted Draw and was sure we had it. It should have been a Draw as I wasn't about to let Aus win but that didn't pan out. I really enjoyed our little war though. I thought it was well fought. You're an intuitive player. That was fun.

@To Doofman. I'm sorry if I was hard on you. I meant no offense. I was just ranting a bit as I had needed to get that off my chest. I understand being too busy to give it your all. It happens. Again, sorry if I sounded like a dick. I am feeling better about it now though. I'm a person that has to say things sometimes and afterwards it's all good again. See you around.
