I love the tournament, the level of play is very high quality. Thanks again Ghost for creating a super tourney!

The only suggestion I have for next year would be to shorten the phase lenght a bit. I recommend about 36-40 hours as an ideal. I could live with 32 or 42 even. We need more than 24 so we can have good thorough diploming across time zones. 50 is sometimes so long that by the time there is action in the game, I have to remind myself again what its all about (due to being mutiple games with the League, etc.)

I'd be intersted to hear from other people if you have the same experience and what phase length you think is ideal.

25 - 36 would be good.

No other input from anyone on this? Everyone likes the phaselength of 50 hours the way it is?

Actually, I would prefer it if the leagues also had a 50 hour phase length because some players here play in both the leagues and TMG Masters (like me) and it can get overwhelming sometimes.

leagues+masters= super overwhelming. the phase lengths need to remain long for the masters, and i wouldnt mind longer for leagues as well

I have noticed that both in TMG and Leagues people talk for the first 12hrs, then almost everyone is ready, yet they do not finalize, just to pretend they still talk! Come on, bigger phase length will just result in even more waste of time!

I'm with uclabb. Helps to have the Masters a bit slower so I'm not overwhelmed by leagues+masters. It would be nicer if the league games could be a bit slower, but not 50 hours. But at the same time the league games happen twice a year so extending the phase length would extend the season and the next season would be delayed.

Personnally, I like the 50 hour phases, as there are days (and the odd weekend) when I don't get to a PC, so the Masters time phase suits me just fine. The League turn length is the main reason why I'll never sign up for that tournament. It also allows negotiation across timezones. If I send a message now (9:45 am), I might not see the answer until tomorrow morning

Perhaps a compromise would be to allow for a shoter turn length in the Masters if all players in a game agree.

If the Masters phase lengths were any shorter I wouldn't be able to compete. If there is anything I would want changed it would be making the leagues 36.
