I must admit I have overlooked PMs a few times. Maybe a little envelope would be good (otherwise I'll just try to remember to look at the homepage occasionally).

Always use the HOME page as your starting point on this site... i find that solves the PM issue, and also allows me to briefly see what on in forum

The problem is that I get many more game messages than PMs, and I tend to ignore them since I track the games on my own. Thus, I miss PMs by weeks.

Ah... yeah.. perhaps the PM's should be in a diff colour?
Say Red or Green to make them stand out?
Or a separate column for them???

How about giving them the [FLASHING] tag, so that they flash? I know it's technically "bad" to do layout with html instead of css anymore, but it's easy....

This was a planned 0.90 feature, and the database has been ready for new PMs to be marked out like game notices are for a while, but with all the focus recently being on optimizing away server load with javascript and caching even a small change like this wasn't worthwhile.

Hopefully at some point over the summer I'll be able to finally add this one in, until then people can check the home page like others have suggested (I'll also refer back here for ideas on how the specifics should work)

On goondip, the PMs are a slight pink color. Stands out well from the game messages. Combined with using the home page as your entry point into the website you won't miss them.
