I play. Primarily Halo 3 and Modern Warfare 2.

HALO 3 and MODERN WARFARE 2 best games ever......

Enjoy L4D2 mostly these days (strategos++), but other than that strategy, puzzle, indie, adventure, all sorts. FPS is a good genre, maybe the best, but theres lots out there

My xbox live id is 'AppleSpider', though I'm mostly working on Fallout3 lately (3rd playthrough) and I may play a little Mass Effect on the side, but if anyone is on and bugs me, I'll always be up for a game of Madden, Gears1, or L4D (I don't have 2, yet... maybe Santa will get his a*s to the store and buy it since he already has the kids taken care of... then again, he has to buy for the wife, still, so he doesn't end up sleeping on the couch)

Yes I did call it a horrible game. They repackage the same game and sell it to you again and you people buy into it. Here comes the speech about how MF2 is the most amazing game ever and blah blah blah. I'm here to tell you bro that graphics do not make a game. It has good graphics, that it does but where is the story to it? It's lacking in that area, has been since COD2 came out. Stories make a game, not graphics.

I call bullshit on that one, more people play World of Warcraft (the largest multiplayer game in existence at this point in time) then CoD. More people played EQ as well, and look at that, I just named the top two ever created.

@Iceray0: MW2 is not about the story. It is about the multiplayer experience. Sure the story in the campaign is lacking, but the game is based upon the multiplayer where there can be no story.

If I wanted that I would go play a multiplayer game that has a story seeing as the story makes the game not the multiplayer. MWF2 is absolute shit, garbage, waste of money

@Ice, MW2 might not be your preferred game, but there's lots of people who like games with the multiplayer experience that MW2/Halo/whatever provide.

I'll agree with you that the storylines in those games are pretty weak though.

But, it isn't always story that makes the game. Gameplay is a huge consideration. If a game has a fantastic story, but I can't figure out the controls, it's rubbish, because I don't want to be frustrated while trying to play the game.

However, great controls and a lower quality story can make a fun game for many people.

Thats very well put Bazin. They are just different genres of game. One is based on competitive multiplayer, while the other is based on a riveting single player campaign. It just depends on which you like more. I like both pretty equally as I love MW2 but also love Bioshock, Fallout 3, and Oblivion. It seems as though you just don't like competitive multiplayer based games.

If you want competitive multiplayer go play a game that's marketed for it's multiplayer. All CoD games are marketed for their single player. Gameplay is a huge consideration but to be forced to dumb down the game because people are retarded is not fair to those of us that actually care about the story. Game series like Final Fantasy are made and marketed for gamers that actually want to game and not just blow someone's head off. It's rather pathetic that most gamers now only care about the graphics and don't give a shit about the rest.

Halo 3 just keeps me coming back for more. It's one of those games that I just really love to play.

MW2 Is pretty fun, but I'd have to say it's not that amazing, it's just sort of fun. It's basically the same as always. Too complicated for my taste, too many weapons, and so on. Halo is more simplistic, and, in my opinion, therefore more aesthetic. In an abstract sense more than in the sense of "I like their blood and gore better than their blood and gore." Lol.

I like Civ III the best though. I haven't stopped playing that game since it came out. Well I mean I've stopped but I mean, I haven't enjoyed it any less any of the times I've played, which is a lot.

Oh yeah and I'm a fucking master of Battlefield 1942. A little old school I know but I seriously wreck shit on that game lol 1st place every time, that kind of thing. So that's fun and so is Battlefield 2 but no one plays those anymore I guess.

@Thucydides: Battlefield 1942 (especially with that mod that makes everything modern... with the A-10!) and Battlefield 2 are still my fav team combat fps games. Just killer! BF1942 no one plays now, and bf2 is ripe with cheaters... which is sad, cause they were always a boatload of fun to play :)

re:BF2 I got it recently in a steam sale, can't get into it, would appreciate tips. I find it's a boring cycle of "spawn, run/drive a long distance, get sniped/blown up/bombed, repeat"
I can see how it would be fun if people worked in teams and I was better at knowing the tricks of not dying, but it seems like everyone is everywhere and I got on board too late so there's too high of a pro:newbie ratio

@iceray. you talk alot about liking the game for graphics and not storyline. me and everyone i know at least couldnt give less of a shit about graphics. And games arent about stories. CoD1 and 2 were based on story but then they realized that multiplayer was the way to go. and the story in mw2 is actually quite good. very dramatic like a movie. obviously you have no life saying games are about stories. if i wanted a story id go fucking watch a movie.

The story from the first Modern Warfare was told better than the second one. Second story was over so quickly you had to google what actually happened.

I dont really care Wow multiplayer bores the shit out of me but ModernW2 is the second best Multiplayer around......behind halo 3.......for three years it was the biggest Multiplayer game FPS until MW2 relase
