Perhaps a pause for a few days might be ok if I join? Completely up to you people though, I don't want to inconvenience anyone or get preferential treatment, just putting a suggestion in.

Perfectly reasonable suggestion...

I expect a number of games to be paused this Christmas. Last year saw a whole stack of ruined games and curses directed at 'baby-sitters' who neglected their duties. That was before the pause function was enabled.

Anyway the point is I'm eager to join a league, as I have been urged to do so and now I have a decent number of games under my belt so I feel like I could at least be a little more competitive than I was capable of in the past. @ General, Have you looked at the positions you'd be taking over and made sure you're willing to play in Games 3 and 4?

We're can you go look at these games? Didn't find "Group F - Game 3" in the games. Would like to look at the immediately available positions :)

If somebody is not participating in any other league games, then they can just join. As abgemacht has stated, BOTH games must be joined.

I think that there is a fifth game coming where the player can start from scratch, and credit for nevillechamberlain's previous 2 league games should be given as well, but that would be up to theghostmaker(and nevillechamberlain, should he/she resurface in a timely fashion).

If I hear from nobody except abgie, I'm going to assume consent. The 2 of us are ok with this.

I am happy for GI to join but I don't think that he will or should inherit Neville's points.

Taken to the extreme this principle would mean that someone could build an unassailable lead after 3 games, then hand their league position to someone else, who played like a muppet but still qualified for the top division.

Replacements must start from zero, surely.

By the way this discussion is now going on in email, the forum and the games themselves. Email should probably fix it. I don't think everyone reads the forum.

Update - looks like Ghost has responded and GI has a slot elsewhere. I think it's the right decision to let those two CD countries go down.

I am letting them bite the dust because I cannot expect somebody to take them over.

There are more places left in the league.
