The king is dead

This game is a classic game with special rules that I have heard of that I want to try. The special rules are as follows:

I just seek clarity, not asking to do something, but asking what is within the rules so I don't inadvertently break one.
Alderian (2425 D(S))
21 Dec 13 UTC
Note, the question WAS asked before gamestart, at 8:03am pacific time by guilherme.limoni.

I would assume that since the rules don't say otherwise you can tell anyone you are any particular role. But it isn't my game so I'm just stating my thoughts.

Note, if the winning condition of the traitor is merely to solo, it is possible for the traitor and rebels to both win. This may lead the traitors and rebels to too easy of a alliance. Perhaps the rebels should only win if the traitor does not solo.
Hydro Globus (100 D)
21 Dec 13 UTC
If the king is dead, the rebels insta-win. If he makes the solo, the traitor wins. They could ally only if the rebels trust the traitor to win with killing the king in the last turn, and the traitor trusts the rebels not to kill the (already weakened) king before he has 18 centers.

Quite precarious, methinks. Also, it's a plan with two wild cards (the knights).

I'm off to sleep. I hope the inactive players find their role PMs in order, if not, PM me and I'll resend as soon as I'm able.

How could the rebels instawin if the traitor is still alive?
Draugnar (0 DX)
21 Dec 13 UTC
In Bang! The equivalent doesn't instant win just because the sheriff is dead.
Hydro Globus (100 D)
21 Dec 13 UTC
Erm... yes they do. If the Sheriff is dead, the Bandits won. Who else could? The Renegade can't have the duel with the Sheriff, and the Deputies failed in protecting the Sheriff.
I've never heard of Bang! being played any other way.

But this isn't Bang!, so tvrocks, please specify.

@HG, if everyone has to vote draw right after the King dies, then the traitor has to keep the King alive while soloing, or at least until taking the 18th center. That doesn't sound very traitor-like.

Seems to me like the game should go on and the rebels have to eliminate or stalemate the traitor. In that case any remaining knights get to decide whether to help the traitor win or the rebels win.

That seems more reasonable to me, but then again, I'm just expressing my opinion without even being in the game, so take it for what it is worth.

Never heard of Bang, but tvrocks is using the revised rules we made at vDip after the first set of games ended. The rules over there:
-King and his knights win if the rebels and traitor are eliminated
-Rebels win if the king and traitor are eliminated
-Traitor wins if everyone else is eliminated

Adjusting that for the first to 18 setup...
-King and his knights have to eliminate the rebels and traitor (so the king and each knight need to stay below 18, but still eliminate the others)
-Rebels have to kill the king and the traitors (not necessarily the knights, however) while staying below 18
-Traitor has to solo (theortically the king and rebels must be dead, but... I guess not so in this)

So that should work.

What hydroglobus say is correct, he is assigning roles

@Mendex: the traitors know everyone's identitie, and everyone else know only their own and the king's identities.

@draugnar: yes, that's correct, king knows themself, rebels know themself and king, and knights know themself and king.

@draugnar: there are no rules about revealing yourself

@thomas olai: sorry for not letting you into this one, no more space, I am plannin on creating another one later, with ten people probably.

@alderian there are no rules, rebels can only win if he traitor does not. Also, In the next game it will be a wta

What steephie says about rules on video are accurate, it's impossible for traitor to kill everyone though so a solo win is good enough.

How unhealthy are crisps?
Just wondering, and I thought it would be a nice change of topic. If one stops eating crisps, will he/she be significantly more healthy? How about energetic, happy? Or less? And fat? Do crisps make you significantly fat? You webdippers probably have some interesting thoughts on this as well.
Just normal, ready salted crisps, for the sake of argument. Before people start bringing up their homemade moonshine crisps as an argument...

http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=131817
Standard board with one quirk--countries get a number, 1 to 7...and you "speak" in the manner of the Doctor fitting your country's number. For instance, England #1 (Hartnell), France #2 (Troughton), Germany #3 (Pertwee), Italy #4 (Tom Baker...hooray!), Austria #5 (Davison), Russia #6 (Colin Baker), and Turkey #7 (McCoy.) So, grab your scarves, celery sticks, opera capes and rainbow coats, and let's go!
