Yeah. I'm in complete agreement. How can they not say anything. Not only that but we are giving the Egyptian military 1.3 billion dollars a year, still, even after all this! We paid for those bullets killing innocents. That's yours and my tax dollars put to use right there. Shit's fucked up.

It is also illegal under United States law for the nation to continue providing federal aid to a nation that has overthrown its democratically elected government in a military coup, by the way. So Obama will have to say something soon or he'll break a law - of course that'd be nothing unusual for him though.

Well that is why the administration has chosen not to do an official review of the situation, so they don't have to define it as a coup. If they did a review they would have to define it as such. So instead they say they have chosen not to assess the situation. Such a cop out.

Not sure why they would *want* to give aid. It's just free money they are giving away to a nation in chaos. Surely they know that.

Of course I'm talking about the Obama administration here. Duh.

Hot off the press, the UK govt have issued a statement about the activities in Egypt,
"A Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) spokesman said: "We remain deeply concerned about the situation in Egypt and deplore the further loss of life today. The UK continues to call for an end to violence and for a return to peaceful dialogue."

They remain 'deeply concerned', why would you feel the need to make that statement if you intend to do nothing. What they are really saying is 'we don't really give a damn" ......... this is truly pathetic.
Complicit by their silence, I'm sure the Egyptian military are pleased about the backing they are getting from Western leaders.
