But Draugnar, you are far more rational and logical and professional than this... please go read the global thread in the game and the other comments in the other thead and I think you'll see things differently once you apraise yourself of the situation.

If you still want to retire, then we'll figure out a replacement for you.

I'm so sorry to disappoint Draugnar, but indeed MM is ranked higher than me ;) he's also pwned me in every non-anon game we've played I think.

As for this game... mujus, it seems that Sarg is staying, but Draugnar's less than ideal position as Europe is available if you'd like to take it.

however - there is a high likely hood this game will get cancelled anyways at this point. unfortuante but true. please bear with us as we get a final decision on that in the global tab.

Guys, I gladly give my place to anyone. What't the official procedure? I don't want to screw 16 players' game, but I definiately do not want to continue.

I don't want to continue either - however, it was clear that a majority want to cancel the game and it is only being held up by a selfish minority.

I don't want to continue but it's unfair we should lose our points to such a game like this that will have to be cancelled anyway. It's untenable.

This will be the last world game I'll play with a bunch of divas with fragile personalities.

There's a good chance of a cancel for two reasons:
1.) Mods made a mistake of a pause because one of the players was wrongly assumed of leaving and NMR'ing.
2.) A player said things that hurt my feelings.

Doesn't sound like much reason, really. Play diplomacy. Don't let your game get high-jacked by attention seekers.

I'd be willing to replace anyone that goes out.. I am not that high on GR, but have played fair share of world games.

@MrcsAurelius, nor Sarg, neither mine position is lost, but I guess there are others on the waitlist already.

@fortnox, I just don't want to play in any game which was affected by outside forces, which was derouted by mods. I even didn't get any reply from the mods, how they are going to avoid such situation in the future. Why the hell would I join any single game on this site, when mods modify the flow of the game as they wish?

All my efforts put into the game was ruined, no matter whether I could continue or not, the fact you guys are willing to replace people, force pause, ban players just makes me to keep away. Maybe this time it could be continued, but I see no guarantees you will not mess up the game again in 2 turns. I do not want to participate in any game of which outcome depends on outside (anything beyond the players) forces.

If you have any problem with that, you can stil call me a diva, or whatever. I just consider it a compromised game. And since it's compromised, the outcome, any kind, cannot be legitim.

I haven't been following this thread very carefully (finals week!), but I think there is a lot of overreaction to other people's overreactions. Things happen! People overreact. Outside influences are a fact of every facet of life. Play the field. etc. Now, do you guys need a replacement? I think I'm next in line. If so please pm me the password.

@rakakoma I'm guessing if there was an NMR in spr1901, you would have canceled? If Sarg had NMR'ed would you have sided with the people who argued with canceling because of it or against?

@fortknox, NMR is part of the game, not letting that happen by a mod is NOT! NMRs, CDs happen, especially when somebody s close to lose. And yes, I would have voted cancel, since I'm usually the first one voting cancel in gunboat as well, when someone NMRs at the beginning. It's a pity a few one want to continue, because the current situation looks good for them.

I warned Babak, let it happen, I warned you guys, let it happen. Your apology is great for keeping me and others on this site, continue to participate in discussions and future games. FUTURE games, not this one. "Damage is done", that's my problem. An apology won't make those moves in the game, which were already locked in, by india, Oz, and China.

Bottom line: just replace me and enjoy the game. Or keep me in, I'll NMR as well, and then you can say whatever you want at me, but my answer will be, "I told you so, to replace me, I warned you to cancel". I don't care, this game is already dead, and if you realize it 2 turns later, that's your problem.

This game has turned toxic, unfortunately a cancel may be the only way forward.

meanwhile, roka and sarg if you guys seriously want to be replaced, email the mods and ask them to force-CD you and I will send passwords to the folks on the waitlist to join if they want. But do it before you NMR or at least do not NMR so your replacement has a shot.

The apology wasn't from me. I hadn't done anything anyone has been offended by. It leads me to believe you haven't fully understood everything that has happened, but I guess it is moot at this point...

For me, mods are mods. I don't care who it was specificly. You guy have 1 email address, you answer as mods from that email address, you make decisions together in many cases, I don't care whether you paused or yebellz.

The games has rules, which were fully met by all the players, though mods interfered. I don't see how could this be not considered as compromised game.

The mods have allowed ample discussion on this topic.

This is still an ongoing game and public discourse is now over.

In defense of the mods, I agree with not allowing player replacement at all. Sadly they should have had this rule earlier as well... I hope you (the mods) will keep it this way from now on. Topic's closed from my point of view. Both the replacement and the cancelling. Let's see what comes next!
