@hellalt I can agree with you in everithing except in one thing: Blanco is, unfortunately, old (37 ys) and it's not the best sportsman. But he has more talent than anyone in mexican team (with the possible exception of Gio dos Santos). You should have watched him closer. He always know what to do with the ball, much before he touches it, and almost every pass he made was precise and exact. He's not for the 90 misn, because of his age, but if he had entered earlier in the game, the first minutes of the second half would have been much more clearer for mexico

I agree that he uses his mind in the game and that his few passes where clever and precise.
Nevertheless it was still funny watching him in the field.

There's no unity between players & coach, but if there is unity within the squad then they've got far too much fire-power for Uruguay.

What I REALLY don't understand is why
a) He took of Anelka, who was OK just not being given any decent support
b) Govou is in the squad
c) when playing 10 men, with two decent wingers, he put them in the middle and put the centre forwards out wide.

There are times when I get confused about a manager but am confident that they had a good reason for what they do (like Capello), but with Domenech, I have to assume he's involved in a match fixing cartel :S

I think the way SA and Mexico played defence today, both Uruguay and France should have no trouble getting through the next round.

BTW, I actually did predict Uruguay to beat France. I basically imagined the game would turn out as it did, but with Uruguay actually getting somewhere with their counter attacks instead of just giving the ball back to France, so I predicted a 1-0 for the Celeste.
