"However, my point here is this. Media goes APESHIT over this. Peanut throwing, and a possible racial slur, but sopmething like the 13 year odl white boy getting set on fire by 3 blacks, who are saying "you got what you deserved white boy" does notmake it."
I'd criticize that just the same.
"Oh, and your "though I will say this..." addendum can only be interpretted as an accusation that Republicans are more inherently racist than Democrats."
Are they more inherently racist than Democrats?
No.
Does GOP "territory"--ie, the Solid South--have a more charged and more recent history with black/white racism than, say, the Northeast, or San Francisco?
Yes.
"Have you ever been east of the Mississippi to New York or Atlanta where the black populations would just as soon kill a white man as look at him?"
No, I haven't, and I'm not even saying all blacks are angels and all whites are demons.
MERELY that, well, if you had to pick an area of the country most steeped in a history of racist whites, where would you look?
"Oh, and let's see how many blacks are on the floor at the DNC. They are still a bunch of rich white guys too."
I WILL SEE and make a note of it when the inevitable thread for that starts.
I GUARANTEE YOU it will be a lot more diverse, FAR more Latinos and blacks.
Racist or not, that's simply the nature of the beast and the bases--
The GOP base *IS* mostly White Conservative Christians, and the Demmies are more varied, even if we did accept your charge that it was mostly white (which I don't, given how many Latino and black voters there are in it, even if it is white as the majority, it's not at all an overwhelming majority, not a 90% figure as it is here.)
The demographics are just FACTS, Draugnar.
YOU are the one taking them as accusations of racism.
