"Gingrich has been consistent within this primary/election season, not going back and forth and back and forth like Romney."

Yeah right. "Historian" for Freddie Mac. Next he was "Strategic Advisor". He claimed he'd stay positive, then has gone very negative. He hugely flip flopped on Libya, claiming he wanted a no-fly zone and then two weeks later opposed it. Flip flopped on climate change. Flip flopped big time on individual mandates. Flip flopped on Freddy Mac. He flip flipped multiple times within the same week on Ryan's Medicare plan.

Well you're the same person who said Wilders was a leftist, so I guess I have no place to argue against your mastery of Dutch politics.
redhouse1938 (429 D)

I remember that thread. And I also remember having admitted that based on the points that you put forward he was much more to the right than I'd thought.

OOPS. There you go again Putin.
Draugnar (0 DX)
25 Jan 12 UTC
Putty is good at harping on points you have already conceeded and remembering what you said but then retracted, only forgetting you retracted the statement and agreed it was wrong. In other words, don't make a mistake around Putty *ever* or you'll hear about it forever. Of course, Putty is, as he will tell you, completely infallible.
redhouse1938 (429 D)
25 Jan 12 UTC
I'd say he's being a little girl but we all know that would be threadicide.
Putin33 (111 D)
25 Jan 12 UTC
And naturally you two have to go on your little Putin hate circle jerk rather than address any arguments. Good for you.
redhouse1938 (429 D)

^Definitely calling you a little girl for that:

Putin, you're a little girl. Don't talk to Draugnar you could be in grave danger ;)
Putin33 (111 D)
25 Jan 12 UTC
Although I'll say that Redhouse's leftist gaffe came after multiple threads in which he belittled the idea that I knew anything at all about European politics, so he can shove it with the victimhood routine .
Draugnar (0 DX)
25 Jan 12 UTC
What I really love is when he is shown he is patently wrong and packpedals to make it look like he said something else. He believes he knows everything about every subject on which he speaks, but sometimes he gets in over his head and can't admit it (like our recent debate about Engineering and whether engineers think outside the box and then he slammed Software Engineering as if it weren't real engineering even though all the professional engineering societies and the US Government recognize systems and software engineering as being in the engineering sciences).

But what is funny is, when he first came here, I was impressed by his knowledge of WWII. I found his "Russia did everything/Russia is infallible" commentary humorous and a little offensive seeing as the European war effort was a joint effort and no one nation could have handled Germany alone, but his knowledge of troop numbers and equipment capabilities and what not was impressive. Too bad his massive ego and condescending attitude has made him less impressive and more childish.

" Too bad his massive ego and condescending attitude has made him less impressive and more childish."

My bad, next time I'll pepper my comments with injections of "fucktard" and "epic fucking fail", and remind people constantly about how high my IQ is compared to my wife, that way I'll be mature and humble like Draugnar here.
redhouse1938 (429 D)
25 Jan 12 UTC
The funny thing is Putin, I know you have a sense of humor, even when it comes to yourself, it's just that you rarely show it and never acknowledge it's funny when anybody but yourself does it. So here I am just complementing myself for the little girl joke. That's just lame. I'm derailing my own thread in shame.
Anyways, to return to your "argument": in what universe is "you even believe Wilders has some good ideas" a good argument against "supporting Romney." If any person's track record before his political career is deeply unimpressive it's Wilders'.
redhouse1938 (429 D)

It's impossible to do humor on an internet forum, and much of what counts for humor is just nasty and/or mean-spirited, when it's not lame.

" return to your "argument": in what universe is "you even believe Wilders has some good ideas" a good argument against "supporting Romney." If any person's track record before his political career is deeply unimpressive it's Wilders'."

Um, the way you tried to connect these two points is bizarre. Wilders career has nothing to do with the insanity of a European thinking Romney would be better than Obama for Europe. But believing that xenophobic nutter has good ideas explains your tendency to have sympathy for extreme right points of view.
redhouse1938 (429 D)
25 Jan 12 UTC
Ow yeah because between the two of us it's me who's siding on an extreme side of the political center. I forgot.

Anyways, Geert Wilders is a xenophobic nutter, who happens to have some good ideas. Being a bit closed-minded there in not accepting that? By the way what counts as a good idea these days? Very arbitrary indeed.
Putin33 (111 D)
25 Jan 12 UTC
"Ow yeah because between the two of us it's me who's siding on an extreme side of the political center. I forgot."

Yes, it is. I support Obama, who is a mildly progressive Democrat, and you back Romney, who follows the diktats of the teaparty, thinks corporations are people, that millionaires who do nothing for a living are entitled to have a lower tax rate than ordinary Americans who work for a living, and who wants to raise the income tax on the poor and middle class.
redhouse1938 (429 D)

Even Karl Marx had some great ideas. Letting workers share in the profit of a business is a very fair and functional method I believe.
redhouse1938 (429 D)
25 Jan 12 UTC
Putin: many Americans are rich because other Americans buy their crap.

Look at the average car in the US and in Europe. Twice its size, twice its gasoline consumptions. If you have a country full of people willing to literally burn money in their car engines, some other people get rich. Don't see the problem.
Putin33 (111 D)

"Letting workers share in the profit of a business is a very fair and functional method I believe."

Yeah, you obliterating Marxism by claiming it advocates shareholding is one of more patently ridiculous things you've come up with.
Putin33 (111 D)
25 Jan 12 UTC
"many Americans are rich because other Americans buy their crap."

Romney doesn't sell any "crap" so what does this have to do with anything? Another random tangent?
redhouse1938 (429 D)
25 Jan 12 UTC
Listen, omniscient person.

Romney helped Domino's Pizza's become profitable
Domino's Pizza sells fat crap to Americans who eat it

>Indirectly, Romney sells crap.

The fact that you don't get that people who aren't actually operating a machine or a piece of land can still be productive elements in an economy is why Marxism works so well all over the world and has such a vast appeal in the US.
Putin33 (111 D)
25 Jan 12 UTC
Weren't you economic liberals (like you and your boy Romney) the ones who claimed that the govt should let autos fail and thus lose over 1 million good paying jobs? Now you're using autos as an example of how capitalism works properly? Wow.
redhouse1938 (429 D)
25 Jan 12 UTC
I love your random tangent.
Putin, a question I have which I can't believe I haven't asked before. Why do you love Putin when he is seen as an obstacle to Russian Communists? Is that not a correct assessment. I am just curious.
redhouse1938 (429 D)
25 Jan 12 UTC
Ow my. Santa's text really derails my thread BUT..

Putin was president of a superpower, which could potentially spin back my thread to...

UNCLE MITT!!

Vote MITT ladies and gentlement.

Mitt is it.
Doesn't derail anything that wasn't already derailed, I saw Putin and wanted to ask a question that came to mind. I should add I know very little of Russian politics
redhouse1938 (429 D)
25 Jan 12 UTC
Ow but Putin knows EVERYTHING about EVERY politics so he'll help you there. And it's true the thread was derailed. I helped the process. :'(

Gotta go now hugs.
Putin33 (111 D)

"Ow but Putin knows EVERYTHING about EVERY politics so he'll help you there."

This is the same guy who came in immediately bragging about his linguistic prowess, now he's Redhouse Meek and Mild. Spare me.

I've said several times I am not enamored with Putin politically, I just like his personality.
However, I do support Putin over the CIA-backed elements of the opposition (which doesn't include the KPRF). I don't much care for his domestic policy, but he has brought Russia back from catastrophe. The West wants a prostrate and servile Russia.

Also, the KRPF isn't much to be thrilled about. It has ugly elements of chauvinism/anti-Semitism within the party. However, at least the KPRF is well aware that the Russian liberals are all financed by the CIA/NED, the very same people who rigged the election in Yeltsin's favor in 1996. I'd prefer a strong KPRF presence in the Duma to keep Putin's feet to the fire on domestic policy.

Actually, Putin you back every Democrat running for office. Wasn't that you who said you *always* vote a straight Democrat ticket? So your backing of Obama is simply because he is a dummycrat.
dummycrat. good one. nice candidates your party has just put up.

Epic. Fucking. Fail.

Would it seem unusual to anyone if two countries in a full press Anon game let the phase run right down to the last hour or so to even save, never mind ready ANY orders? Combine that with the fact that they are obviously allied may suggest Metas/Multis no? I suppose they could have chatted about meeting at said time, but.... or do I have Meta-gamer paranoia, a condition common among online dip players.....things that make you go hhmmmm
