OK, I humbly withdraw my accusation of hypocrisy. Even after checking out your website, I'd submit that you can't have any kind of reciprocal relationship with the models in a porn shoot, which eliminates the capacity for love by pretty much any definition.

Are you saying that if you watch a porn model, then you would bever be able to really love each there if you meet? That may or may not be true, but even if it is true, it doesn't change anything about porn being sinful or not.

i am a nominal christian, ok, and here's my take. very... against the mainstream currents but here's my take:

The Bible forbids adultery. Which means as long as you don't cheat, you are not sinning.

I know what Jesus said about looking at a woman with lust in your heart, but I still think was in reference to *if you are in a committed relationship already*.

Draugnar is right. If you choose to believe in that particular thing, you have to either believe in the whole goddamn thing, or not *believe* in it at all. You can hold some parts to be excellent for the human condition, as I do (much of modern humanist thought does have its roots in the Bible, but not as a supernatural text).

But if you cherry pick the bits to believe in, you're engaging in that relativism that we discussed before. Your turning the word of your God into "whatever happens to work for what I want to believe in".

I might add that 99 percent of Christians already DO that to at least some degree, so you're in fine company.

We've already seen how CM picks and choses parts of the bible to suit his needs. The fact that he is able to find a biblical justification for shaking hands with the Governor while watching pron shouldn't be that much of a surprise.
