It's gonna go up on the PlayDip forum soon. I can publish a full list when I get to a computer, but I can say now that we currently have five top 50 GR players signed up.

This sounds awesome. How many players can the tournament accommodate?

And are we looking at starting the week of Apr 6? I'm asking because the week of Apr 6 is going to be possibly the busiest week of my life at work for about six months, but I'll have the ability to put thought into games that start the following week way more easily.

@Vashta - yup. Why more people haven't gotten that, I don't know. We just wanted to add him to mod-only games.

The format is flexible, so the number of players is too.

There's no hard start date yet. I'd recommend just signing up, and if there is a problem you can put off joining your game for a couple days or request an initial pause.

Going to wait until a little closer to cut-off and see how full my plate is at the time. We get a good enough cast i may just jump in regardless of how overloaded i am.

VI, whether or not the stance of only playing based on who else is being warranted or not in general, the point of the tournament, and explicitly in the seeding of games, is to play with people you haven't met before, so only playing if you know they're good already seems counterproductive in both spirit and practice.

Why would being motivated to join a tournament by seeing that the if it's attracted top players from other sites be considered counter-productive in spirit?

Most sites have some kind of ranking system so it's not that hard to get a feel for the level of competition the tournament is getting and also good to know it's not going to ultimately end up being mostly WebDip players with only a handful of visitors sprinkled in. Not everybody is going to want to play on foreign territory and i don't want to join a game with good intentions but ultimately has all the same faces.

(I've also played a lot of the PlayDip crowd already as well)

There's no minimum mitoman. Just like there's no low some members of the site won't stoop to protect their precious numbers.
