Still doesn't answer where the 4 D black hole came from...just pushes the question of existence back to a different point/place...

@Thucy - I strongly have considered tryign to recreate Soylent from the info that has been provided (both by the creator and others). Easy food, filling, nutritionally complete...I'll save the savory for when I need it...but on work days and such, when I just need sustenance, I'm totally down with Soylent - plus I'd like to lose about 20 pounds and think such a diet would help in that.

@Krellin,
No. In fact, right at the moment I am *sending pictures to* Victoria's Secret, not *receiving picture from* Victoria's Secret. True story.

I work at a museum, and one of our more space-cadet-ish board members has decided it would be great publicity for us to convince Victoria's Secret to shoot a catalog here. So at the moment I'm assembling a slide show of pictures to send them. It's a waste of a morning.

That said, if said board member miraculously succeeds, he'll be a god among men.
Draugnar (0 DX)

I didn't read it as a typo so much as you actually thought the phrase was bits of laughter. Of course, I do believe you thought it was bits of laughter, not fits. Fut ib it makes you beel fetter and less of a bool, so fe it.

"I have been instructed to, and approved to, have this thread"

No one on the team instructed or approved anything (we never "approve" threads, as little forum moderation as possible). All I said in a very sarcastic way is that nothing about this thread is spam per the site rules.
Draugnar (0 DX)
13 Sep 13 UTC

The OP instructed KRellin to post his bullshit here and you gave it tacit approval by not declaring it spam, therefore Krellin is correct in his assertion. He didn't say the *mods* instructed him to, just that they granted this thread approval by not declaring it spam and that someone else instructed him to.

Sorry, JMO. But... Epic. Fucking. Fail. :-)

Must have been outdated. Or wrong. I just got 133 on some random site hosted by the "International High IQ Society" - who the fuck joins that?

@Draug, anyone is welcome to create any thread that doesn't violate any forum rules. Anyone is allowed to post anything they want in any thread so long as it does not violate any forum rules. My post simply reiterates that. All threads have tacit approval from the team if they don't violate forum rules. Should this thread begin violating forum rules in any way that approval is removed. If any user should violate spam rules then their approval is removed. However spam is defined as:

"Try to keep replies relevant to the conversation and don't start too many threads at once. Before posting a question relating to the software please read the FAQ."

So at the moment the replies are relevant to the conversation description, the number of threads is 1, and this is not a software issue. Let me know if you need any further clarification.

@Draug somebody needs to tell you this. Every time you say "epic fucking fail" it is really never anything of the sort. You should stop.
krellin (80 DX)
13 Sep 13 UTC
@DRaug / JMO -- my point exactly...by my requesting the thread be declared pre-offense as a spam thread (because we all knew it would become one...just as all guns are meant to murder...), JMO's failure to put an end to it means that this thread, by definition, can contain no offensive spam. I am free to flail away on your collective psyche's at will, whoever and whenever I please. Yay!
krellin (80 DX)
13 Sep 13 UTC
@JMO: ""Try to keep replies relevant to the conversation and don't start too many threads at once. "

Since the conversation is "Krellin's Bullshit", and *I* am the only true arbiter of Krellin's bullshit...I am therefore free, by definition, to do whatever I please. I can *not* ever be considered spam, as *whatever* I do will be *directly* relevant to Brew's requested topic.

I *am* forum Batman! INVINCIBLE!!!

@YJ - Draug is right...JMO did an epic fail...he *empowered* the Krellin....mwaaaa ha ha ha ha ha!
hecks (164 D)
13 Sep 13 UTC
@Krellin,
I have to agree. It's "Krellin's Thread," therefore you become the arbiter.
If it had been "Krellin's Bullshit Thread" there would be some ambiguity (ie, Krellin's Thread for Bullshit vs. Thread for Krellin's Bullshit). But yeah... I think Krellin gets to decide what's on topic here.

Krellin is the moderator of this thread.

Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.
Draugnar (0 DX)
13 Sep 13 UTC
@jmo - I was just yanking your chain, dude. But seriuously, krellin didn't state the mods instructed himt o do it. He stated simply that he was instructed. It could have been the voices in his head instructing him to. Fact is, the OP *did* instruct him and you just admitted he has tacit approval. So his statement was accurate.
krellin (80 DX)
13 Sep 13 UTC
By the way....Bo-Sux saying "I have an IQ of..." is the stupid kid admitting he's stupid, isn't it? The same way the racist says, "But look, I have a black friend..."

lol

So I'm gonna be writing a series of articles on Diplomacy strategy by country.
Chime in with suggestions for what you'd like to see covered in this series, what you think doesn't receive enough face time in other articles, what receives too much, etc. There's going to be a general article as well so if you've got more general material you want to see, throw it up here too.

IDEA: Enclaves & Exclaves
I've get a hard-on from keeping non-SC territories neutral or the color of an eliminated player; maybe it's the Yankee in me, but I hate seeing the entire board a single color -- it just seems so totalitarian.... So, here's an idea: what if you got an extra SC worth of "supply" for surrounding such "unowned" territories?

Reading on Dip Strategy
I'm playing a game with a few friends who have played Dip but may be a bit rusty. I'd love to share some links to some links to good articles to read on their respective countries. I used to read a lot on diplomacy-archive, but it seems to be incomplete in describing different openings etc. What do you guys consider to be the definitive guide of all things Diplomacy?

who would you like to meet on webdip if you wete visiting their part of town?
My recent trip to London, meeting up with Nigee, and Lando's recent post about going to Detroit and possibly meeting up with Frank, got me wondering. If you were going somewhere and you knew someone from webdip lived there, who would you reach out to to have a beer with? Or a coffee if its Bosox ;-)
