Identity politics will be a serious issue as long as racism and sexism remain among the major problems this country faces. If these issues weren't common experiences, there'd be no real energy for them. Frankly, if whites insist on treating people badly based on their identity, one can hardly be surprised that the people who are so treated respond based on the identity that is the basis for the maltreatment. Want to end identity politics? End racism and sexism. Simple stuff

Second, I used to be happy to discuss philosophy, but that was back in the era before we entered post-truth politics. One cannot have a rational debate when one side categorically rejects objective provable reality. I used to be a scientist and I am very familiar with the climate research. I am not going to waste time debating "philosophy" of how we should respond who blindly reject scientific findings based on made up crap.

So, denounce that racism and sexism and commit to objective reality. When conservatives get back to those two things, you odds of better discourse will improve
