What's up with that ? No one is interested in that.
I feel like most of you guys like lurking more on the forum and talking about politix and crap than actually playing the game. And this was even before the big election thing.

I saw a dead bird on campus today
It made me pretty uncomfortable sitting on the bench near it. It was a red cardinal
I wonder why it died, and if marxism had something to do with it. I decided to sit inside instead and listen to some modest mouse.

Interesting victory speech, big promises ( delivery on them might be interesting as well ) $ Aus 34 billion lost on Australian stock market, and trillions of $ of wealth destroyed globally as investors flee to safe havens like gold.

Very good speech from Trump. I have a feeling that Democrats would win this election with any other candidate except for Clinton due to her unpopularity and that people did vote against Clinton and not for Trump. I might be wrong as I look at this from European perspective.

"There was an early rush into gold today, as panicky investors looked for a safe place for their money."

So that's a thing. FYI putting your money in gold isn't a useful thing for humanity. Gold just sits there looking pretty; on the pkus side it doesn't do much harm to the environment either...

imo, America being great or has less to do with who is in the executive office, and more to do with the character and industry of its people, laws, and customs.

"America has ceased to be great :)"

America has not been great for a while. Trump actually has/had nothing to do with that. This wasnt a vote for trump, it was a vote against Hillary and the political status quo.

@Leon, is this something you are celebrating? Your candidate *NOT* following through on his campaign promises??

"Market strategists said the upbeat mood in the markets is due in part to Trump’s victory speech, which raised hopes that he will focus on policies that can help the economy and not follow through on some of his extreme campaign positions."

That's just media spin. DOW is really rising because investors realized the country would actually be better under President Trump.
Hey remember when we had a Clinton victory thread?

For those singing the praises of the electoral college system, what do you make of this campaign?

I disagree with one particular sentance... when the article claims that Secretary Clinton 'should' win since she won the popular vote. If our elections were based only on Popular Vote, no candidate would have any reason to campaign in or for any regions of the USA but NYC, LA, Central Florida, and MAYBE Houston. We don't want that, do we? What those who oppose the Electoral College seem to want is for our Presidential Candiates to CAMPAIGN for the electoral College system... but have the votes COUNT as for a Popular Vote system. You can't have both.

I blame Abraham Lincoln
He screwed over the south's economy without granting them an alternative, devastated their homeland and subjugated them to the union. There's no coincidence that these people's descendants elected Trump today. They have been disenfranchised and alienated and economically subjugate since before 1860. We are paying for the sins of our fathers.

The union should've bought the slaves' freedom the same way Britain did.

Yet again, the will of the voters is denied. Republican gets fewer votes for the house, senate or presidency yet control all three. Yes, it is rigged

Think about what we've done.

Clearly we do not hold and judge Trump to the same standards as we would hold our friends, our families and our co-workers.

To everyone in the forum blowing Hillary
Your love for Hillary is astounding. You people honestly believe that you're more intelligent than Trump supporters? Your dumb stupid naive childish retarded minds were exposed the moment you fuckers failed the incorruptible, never-took-a-dollar-from-corporations, stood for gay rights when it was unpopular, voted against wars when they were popular Bernie Sanders.
