I have agreed to let any Mod or Admin know via PM if they really wanna know. Really my husband is very inactive sadly.

I've never known any of my girl-interests to be anywhere remotely interesting in diplomacy, assuming I do ever get around to admitting my slavish devotion.

Which is about half the time. Haha.

Actually I take that back, when I started a diplomacy club on my university campus my girlfriend at the time showed up to meetings and played in some of our games but I think it was just to support me because the club was so small, not because she actually enjoyed diplomacy.

I dunno if that counts haha. I think it only counts if you think they would keep playing if the relationship ended. In her case..... I have strong doubts that she still plays. But who knows maybe she lurks this forum. That would be fucking creepy.

Diplomacy was the only game that I ever played with a girlfriend. She allied with me brother and killed me off pretty quickly. I think I was playing Turkey.

Thucy, I didn't want to say this, but I'm hurt. I know that we had a bad break up, but you didn't have to be so rough. I worked so hard to worm my way into your inner circle to try to woo you back only to find that you think so lowly of me.

Precisely why I wont play games with my wife. Me, my wife, Jacob and his wife used to play Settlers of Catan together all the time and my wife always played solely against me. She wouldnt trade resources, shed only rob me and convince others not to trade me. On this game, Im sure she would ally against me just for the sake of doing it.

Pretty cool. Until you see how many people she has stabbed, and you can determine just how black her soul is

@iMurk-- lol, shes a great woman, but when it comes to games, we dont get along. We arent allowed to play Monopoly together.

@gopdfinger--maybe later, then. My wife hated this game, too, until she tried it. She also tells me that she will watch football with me this season as well, although she wont root for my Broncos. If shes like my wife, you can hook her on the idea that its high drama and you get to lie to people. Ive seen the press in her games, and Im helping her with it. Her first season in her second game, she sent a lie to everyone, lol. I told her "Love, ya can't do that. If you lie to everyone immediately, no one will believe you later. Let's try telling the truth first, and then lie to someone."

It's funny, my gf always comments that I show no emotion when I'm playing. She never knows if I'm winning or losing... I tell her she needs to tell the community that, so when I'm yelling in a game they realize it is a tactic and not real emotion...

I play many games with my wife. She tried Diplomacy once in a F2F game, drew Austria and had RTI all lie to her and stab her in S01. That pretty much did it, and she hasn't been interested since.

From time to time, she does half-jokingly express concern over my success in building trust to cover up my lying and deception.
