So has Draugnar finally matured and can I take him off my mute list?
Draug need not answer. I won't see it. But does anyone else what to chime in with their opinion so I can decide if it is safe to take him off? I kind of miss his ferociously bombastic posts, but he got so over the top in his youthful desire to act tough I had to mute him or kill him before his (mental) 21st birthday, and the former was the better option

In this thread you must compliment the poster above you. We've done this before and it was pretty funny and also not the usual catastrophe.

"Now Where Have I Heard That Before..." (A Game Played Entirely On Quotes?)
Every message you send has to be a quote from a movie, TV show, book, song, etc., with the exception of locations (as finding a quote for moving to the Ruhr is a bit too difficult, I think)...an example, say, Italy asking Russia for help could be:
"With our combined strength (@Budalest) we can END this destructive conflict, and bring order to the galaxy, er, Europe!" :p

Anyone have 4.1 yet?

Returning to webdip
After a year away, I've decided to come back to webdip for the duration of my summer holiday (as opposed to just making the occasional post on the forums every 3 months). Not playing any games until I've got past my week away that starts in a fortnight. How's webdip getting on?

Rangers FC (Scottish football)
So, today Scottish Football League clubs have voted that the "new" Rangers FC, arising out of the old, bankrupt and liquidated, Rangers, will enter the league structure in Division 3 (the fourth tier of league football in Scotland).

Why did it take so long to draw?
Fortress Door (1837 D)

France, i think you for being a loyal ally this whole game. If we wanted to, i am fairly certian we could've gotten rid of at least Austria but the way it turned out was fine
Fortress Door (1837 D)

i put draw up when England cd'ed in 1902, but i understand why France didn't. Now that i think about it, the game probably should've gone on a bit more but oh well

I did put draw vote up immediately that England cd'd but Austria did not. I also didn't really think it made any difference to the game. I already had London and Liverpool and even if he hadn't nmr'd he couldn't stop me taking them.

Eventually it seemed to me that Austria saw it turning against him and put the draw vote up, I personally would have carried on but as everyone else wanted to draw I agreed
Fortress Door (1837 D)
13 Jul 12 UTC
oh, it was Austria then.

And yes, i am still not sure why i put draw up. I think France and I clicked it at the same time. I did plan to draw, but not with Russia in it

and the Czech, just turned 15 >:}

Austria played a HORRIBLE game. He attacked me, and refused a draw, when it was obvious that F-G were going to decimate England and come our way. Freakin' brilliant!
Fortress Door (1837 D)
13 Jul 12 UTC
and MM, i agree heartily.
Fortress Door (1837 D)

the only person who did worse was England, who cd'ed even though he could've held Edinburgh for at least one more year.

I never understand why people seem to lose their minds when they play Austria and Italy. Every other nation it seems that one understands the need to have at least one peaceful border. But with AH-Italy, the player lashes out in all directions like a complete spaz. When you see that Italy is not going to try a Crusher on you as AH, leave him be. He was making good gains in the Balkans. Makes no sense.
Fortress Door (1837 D)
13 Jul 12 UTC
Must have something to do with the starting border between the two. Austria should've gone for Turkey once it was clear you were going for him

my first mistake was attacking russia who was my real ally. very poor decision by me and I apologise to Russia with whom I could have maybe shared the game (who knows)

My second mistake was missing a move which was when I agreed to the draw as I had to leave

MM - if you are going to moan every time someone attacks you go play solitaire instead

Throwing a Game
When is it acceptable to throw a WTA game( or any game for that matter, but WTA has the stiffest "penalty") knowing that you could force a draw? Are there ever grounds to believe that this is ever acceptable? I don't believe so, but looking to be proven wrong. I am of the school that would say Win; failing that, draw. Period. Curious to know what others think.
