New Tournament

The idea of this tournament is 7 games with buy-ins of something around 500 D - we can discuss this amount. The games would be WTA, anon, no-press and likely 48 hour phases.

There is no playoffs or anything the whole idea of this tournament is to assemble the best gunboat players on the site and have a really fun set of 7 games.

You would get the opportunity to play each power once. I have asked Geofram to help us out with this aspect of things. He also said he would be able to add 275 D or so to the pot for the overall "winner."

People I am looking at to join this, among many others: Czech, jmeyersd, twa, Barne3tt, Babak, zultar, etc.

So please PM me or post here if this interests you.

Thanks for the invitation, Lando, but I'm going to forgo this tournament. My two cents on this would be that the games run concurrently, so that everyone is playing 7 games at once and with different power once.
The list of all the participants should be shown here so that everyone knows who's playing.
The games should also be linked as well (no discussion of course).

Thanks for the input zultar, too bad you won't be able to join us. The games could run concurrently, sure. I would need some more points first though. I am fine whichever way we do it. Maybe a block of 3 and a block of 4. I'll let the others give some input.

Also, Lan, thanks I will PM IKE. I haven't seen him around in a while.

I think the pot size should be the same.
300 D seem low though. How about 307 each, so 307x7=2149? :)

Not set in stone, will depend on who shows interest. I would not go lower than 300 D per game, though.

LanGaidan said he would speak with IKE, which would be great if we could get him involved. We would wait until Tuesday.

I still would like to get the bets as high as possible, but I also don't have as many points as I intended to. So I guess lets keep this open and see what we end up with as far as bets go.

Would it seem unusual to anyone if two countries in a full press Anon game let the phase run right down to the last hour or so to even save, never mind ready ANY orders? Combine that with the fact that they are obviously allied may suggest Metas/Multis no? I suppose they could have chatted about meeting at said time, but.... or do I have Meta-gamer paranoia, a condition common among online dip players.....things that make you go hhmmmm
