…..Future News Reports….Dateline 6th September 2013…..

On 5th September Obama made a speech in Stelna on the Syrian crisis in which he condemned the actions of the government of Syria. Obama denounced Syria as being a state that was in violation of international law. He placed emphasis of national self-determination, claiming it was for the Syrians to determine their eventual leaders. Obama accused Syrian’s President Assad of war crimes against the Syrian people, claiming that in the last two years over 100,000 Syrians had been killed including almost 1500 in the recent chemical attack. More than 2 million people had allegedly intentionally been forced out of their homes inflicting a humanitarian crisis upon the region. He claimed that he, as the head of state of America, would support the right of the self-determination of the Syrians. Obama accused the government of Syria of being a client regime of Iran, claiming that they are supporting a proxy war.

Last night congress granted Obama his wish and an attack against Syria is planned. David Cameron (The British Prime Minister) sends Obama a two word text. “Good Man.”

….Historical news report….Dateline 13th September 1938

On 12 September Hitler made a speech at a Nazi Party rally in Nuremberg on the Sudeten crisis in which he condemned the actions of the government of Czechoslovakia. Hitler denounced Czechoslovakia as being a fraudulent state that was in violation of international law's emphasis of national self-determination, claiming it was a Czech hegemony where neither the Germans, Slovaks, Hungarians, Ukrainians, nor Poles of the country wanted to be in union with the Czechs. Hitler accused Czechoslovakia's President Edvard Beneš of seeking to gradually exterminate the Sudeten Germans, claiming that since Czechoslovakia's creation over 600,000 Germans were allegedly intentionally forced out of their homes under the threat of starvation if they did not leave. He claimed that Beneš' government was persecuting Germans along with Hungarians, Poles, and Slovaks, and accused Beneš of threatening these nationalities with being branded traitors if they were not loyal to the country. He claimed that he, as the head of state of Germany, would support the right of the self-determination of fellow Germans in the Sudetenland. He condemned Beneš for his government's recent execution of several German protesters. He accused Beneš of being belligerent and threatening behaviour towards Germany which, if war broke out, would result in Beneš forcing Sudeten Germans to fight against their will against Germans from Germany. Hitler accused the government of Czechoslovakia of being a client regime of France, claiming that the French Minister of Aviation Pierre Cot had said "We need this state as a base from which to drop bombs with greater ease to destroy Germany's economy and its industry".

It seems we are going to have another Munich moment, but it’s not the moment we thought we were going to have.

...Current News Report... Serie A... Dateline 4th September 2013

Gigi Buffon is looking beyond the 136-cap record that he could equal with the Italian national side next week.

"If all goes well, it would be a great achievement," he stated. "However, it was predictable in a way given that I started with the national team at such a young age".

"It will certainly be nice though, satisfying, because I have been in the national side for 16 beautiful years – in the squad since 1997 and a first choice since 1998.

You understand that with time, with maturity. Every appearance with the national side is not just a game, but something more".

"I personally would not turn down a call up. It would be like spitting in the face of good fortune, something that so many people want but only a few have the chance to experience".

….Current news report….Dateline 4th September 2013

…..upon hearing of this achievement English FA Chairman, Greg Dyke, sent a two word voicemail to Buffon: “Uomo buono.”

what the fuck lol
Tolstoy (1962 D)

No need for that, they're far more sophisticated now. There will be a new "Syrian Government" ruling Syria; it will be full of Syrians hand-picked by the West who will sacrifice the wealth of their nation to Wall Street in return for a small cut of the 'take' being diverted into the Swiss bank accounts while the country remains an unstable war-torn basket-case, unable to rebuild from the devastation of the Amerisrabian military assault. All the benefits of colonialism with none of the expenses.

@Thucy - I think clever orators can make speeches outlining their justifications for aggression and they are capable of taking their nation with them. It is interesting to note that several high ranking Germans thought Hitlers aggression would lead to a world war Germany could not win, but were unable to dissuade their leader. We will see whether or not some congressmen or the wider American public can dissuade Obama from a course of action he seems destined to take.

Did none of you hear Obama's latest justifications. "It's not MY red line...the *world* drew the red line. blah blah blah...I don't have to save face for claiming a red line was crossed...it's Congresses fault for....blah blah blah..."

Obama....leading from behind as always...is blaming EVERYBODY else for the situation he finds himself in, after mouthing off like Mr. Tough Thug, now that he has been challenged...now that *his* red line has been crossed, he spreading the blame not just to Congress, but to the entire globe.

It would be brilliant if he weren't such a feckless twat and transparent...

In short, Obama is just a fucking *coward*.

If you are going to be the man with the Big Red Button, then be the fucking man with the big red button. If you want to play at war, then fucking strap on a pair of balls and call the play.

This fucking little bitch, though...fucking coward...he dithers...he claims moral superiority...yet he's constantly afraid to act. If you are afraid to act, then fucking don't mouth off, bitch! Or...better yet...step down and let Biden take the chair.

I'm not saying I advocate war...but if the bitch Obama is going to call for it, DO IT.

By now...any strike would be 100% *useless*...as any targets of value have been moved/hidden/distributed amongst the people.

Obama is such a fucking twat!

Nigee -- I will actually grant the argument that a man with a bomb strapped to his chest who volunteers his life to fight of the American infidel is indeed a freedom fighter...

I'd argue the that the colonists that tarred and feathered a tax collector who was doing his job, or attacked a ship and destroyed a businessman's property were terrorists and freedom fighters.

There...I can be "reasonable"...

Here is a comparison worth considering. If you have seen this email being sent around already, more power to you. It is interesting to note how radically different the two presidents approached their respective speeches.

The true difference between Chicken Salad and Chicken Shit
If this does not speak to the character of the individual, then nothing does

Chicken Salad:

President George W. Bush's speech
after the capture of Saddam Hussein:

"The success of yesterday's mission is a tribute to our men
and women now serving in Iraq . The operation was based
on the superb work of intelligence analysts who found the
dictator's footprints in a vast country. The operation was
carried out with skill and precision by a brave fighting force.
Our servicemen and women and our coalition allies have faced
many dangers in the hunt for members of the fallen regime, and
in their effort to bring hope and freedom to the Iraqi people. Their
work continues, and so do the risks. Today, on behalf of the nation,
I thank the members of our Armed Forces and I congratulate them!"

Chicken Shit:

Barrack Hussein Obama's speech after the killing of Osama bin Laden:

"And so shortly after taking office, I directed Leon Panetta, the
Director of the CIA, to make the killing or capture of bin Laden
the top priority of our war against al Qaeda, even as we continued
our broader efforts to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat his network.
Then, last August, I was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden.
It was far from certain, and it took many months to run this thread
to ground. I met repeatedly met with my national security team as we
developed more information about the possibility that we had
located bin Laden hiding within a compound deep inside of
Pakistan. And finally, last week, I determined that we had enough
intelligence to take action, and I authorized an operation to get
Osama bin Laden and bring him to justice. Today, at my direction,
the United States launched a targeted operation against that
compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan."

krellin (80 DX)
05 Sep 13 UTC
Tolstoy - I think that's an awesome quote...a President thumbing his nose at a terrorist that has been relegated to a hovel, who's terrorist network, at that point in time, had been diminished to next to nothing an ineffective -- the US had not suffered another attack at this point. What was he supposed to do, quiver in fear over a guy he had beat down? You are probably actually retarded enough to think Bush wasn't hunting him at this point...and yet, it was *because* of Bush's work that Obama had the intelligence in place to get him.

IN other words, you fell for the nonchalance.

Best way to sucker punch a fool? Pretend you don't care about him...

A western invasion of Syria could result in conventional WWIII
Invictus (240 D)
05 Sep 13 UTC
"WWIII" isn't a useful term any longer. I agree getting involved in Syria as it looks like we're going to has the potential to grow into a general regional war, but it's not as if Russia is going to nuke New York in order to protect Assad.

Now, a worst case scenario drawing in Iran and Turkey and Israel and the Gulf states would be a disaster none of us have seen in our lifetimes, I don't want to diminish that. It's just that the term "world war" is a poor fit for it. Hopefully this all won't happen and we won't have to decide what to call it anyway.

"it's not as if Russia is going to nuke New York in order to protect Assad."

I'm sure many a pundit and politico were thinking along these same lines in 1914 when Prince Whats-his-name was assassinated.
HumanWave (337 D)
05 Sep 13 UTC
Comparing today with 1914 is idiotic.
Russia won't nuke New York straight away in defense of Assad, sure, but if we did get dragged into a long, bloody war with Russia over this, who knows? Then it wouldn't be to defend Assad, it would be to defeat the United States, the enemy in the war. Wars have a tendency to escalate in purpose and, consequently, in show of force.

I think nuking New York wouldn't happen regardless simply because of the implications for nuclear war -- it's currently viewed as "that terrible thing that happened once and will never happen again," doing it again runs the risk of normalizing nuclear force in conventional warfare, which is a step no one wants to take.

Welfare pays better than work in the US
A mother of two in New York is eligible for more in welfare benefits than starting salaries for school teachers in the state. Hawaii offered the most money to a mother of two, $60, 590 and Idaho the least $11,150. 33 states offer more in welfare than full-time minimum wage work earns.
