Equilibrium In World Diplomacy
Are there some statics showing how many times win each country in the World Diplomacy? It would be interesting, because I have seeing and I think some countris like China, Western Canada and Kenya have a lot of victories, but frozen antartica is the big looser.

What do you think? Do you think there are some countries with handicap?

Can I get a witness? Uh I mean a sub?
I don't know how this works. But I'm going to be out of pocket for a few days and don't want to make everyone else stop the games I'm in. I'm in two games - one as France (admittedly not doing so hot) and one as Austria, doing okay.

Anyone want to sub for me? Is that allowed? Question marks?

Something is Rotten In the State of Our Kids' Education...
So, I tutored my 4th grade kid today...and I have now lost any and all faith I might have had left in public shooling. This teacher of his had all sorts of lovely "creative" ways to "teach" grammar...my favorite: spell the word BACKWARDS if you're confused! THAT'LL unconfuse the poor kid, right? The poor guy couldn't spell a single two-syllable word, and what's worse...HE THOUGHT "P" WAS A VOWEL! P! P! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN OUR EDUCATION SYSTEM... >:O

Any takers? I haven't tried WorldDip in a year, and it would be fun to try it with some engaged and reasonably experienced players.

Question about mod roles
Do the mods all have different roles (i.e. Are some dedicated to trnies, cheating, etc)? If so, is it possible (or would it be an improvement to) contact the specific mod you need rather than just adding to the current backlog?

dislodgement
If a unit is tapping you and you dislodge it does it invalidate the tap? Example to follow.

fulhamish (4134 D)
10 Oct 11 UTC
Example: country a) has fleet greece, fleet ion, army con, army bul and army ank. Country b) has fleet smy and fleet aeg.
Country a) plays fleet gre supports fleet ion-aeg, army bul supports army con and army con supports army ank-smy.
Country b) plays fleet aeg-con supported by fleet smy.

Aeg is dislodged, but does smy fall?
diplomat554 (2104 D)

No, Smy isn't dislodged because AEG cuts Con's support. I'm pretty sure the dislodgement of the fleet doesn't change anything.

Ok thanks diplomat.

The only time a dislodgement stops a tap is if the tap is directed at the support dislodging the unit. A unit can't cut support directed at itself.
"A unit can't cut support directed at itself."
It can, but only if it doesn't get dislodged by it. Though that would imply dislodging the support rather than simply cutting it.
Actually, what happens if:
Turkey:
A Bul-Rum
F Bla S Bul-Rum
Austria:
A Ser-Rum
A Bud S Ser-Rum
Russia:
Rum-Bud

Would the support from Budapest be cut and Turkey dislodges Rumania? Or would The two supported armies simply bounce in Rumania? Because Rumania is not dislodged by the support from Budapest, is it able to cut it, allowing Turkey to enter Rumania?
spyman (424 D(G))

I believe Turkey and Austria will bounce, and Russia will stay in Rum. Rum can't the cut support of an attack upon itself. Thus the battle between Austria and Turkey is 2 versus 2, which means neither succeeds.

This is what the rules state:
Support is cut if the unit giving support is attacked from any province except the one where support is being given.

This means Rum can't cut Bud's support. The situation is the same as if Rum had simply been ordered to hold.

Ok so in a nutshell a nudge given by unit x to unit y remains effective, even if unit x is dislodged by units a and b?
Draugnar (0 DX)
11 Oct 11 UTC
@dD_ST - The rules clearly state a unit can not cut support directed against itself. Irregardless of if it gets dislodged. There fore, in the second example Turkey and Austria bounce because Russia can'rt cut support directed against itself. Period. No exceptions about unless it is dislodged by the support. Sorry, you are wrong there.
spyman (424 D(G))

Yes.
Going back to your original question: Even if Dislodged, Aeg can still cut Con's support of Smy, as the rule state:
"A unit being dislodged by one province can still cut  support in another province. Just as a unit being dislodged   by one province can still cause a standoff in another, a unit   still manages to cut support even if it's dislodged. Just make   sure that the dislodgment isn't coming from the province   where the unit is giving support. (Remember this rule: A   dislodged unit, even with support, has no effect on the   province that dislodged it.)"

Masters Tourny: Current and Future State
Something needs to happen with the Masters Tournament, be it cancellation or continuation, but without the information from TrustMe I don't see how it can be continued. So does anyone have a way to contact him?

Remember that this is a tournament, so participant or not, don't talk about the games themselves. We're only here to discuss what can be done for the whole.

Zero centers, but you get part of the draw??
In game ID=66470, Austria and Turkey agreed to defeat France and split a two-way WTA draw. Well , we took over France and pressed "draw". POOF, game over, but FRANCE gets 1/3 of the draw.

Huh? How can you get part of the draw with zero centers????

Hey everyone,
So I opened a new game and named it after a diplomat who -at an intellectual level- appeals to me (not passing any judgments on the man's politics, it's his way of arriving at a conclusion that I like)
