a mature disscussion about sex
what role do you think sex fills in a relationship?
how do you feel about sex without love?
favorite sexual experience?

And the three older kids were "left behind" by her when she ran off. At least that is how he explained it to his obviously gullible wife.

to Thucydides.
you should wait till college where you can start over. usually highschool relationships don't work out especially when college is just around the corner, long distance absolutely sucks. at college no one cares about who you were at college, and if they do then they are still living a highschool life. if you aren't going to college, again, wait, and people forget things and if those girls are your friends, they know who you really are.

What does sex play in the role of society?

Do you know why people want to have sex? Because that is how nature encourages us to reproduce, and therefore continuing our species.
Obviously it isn't the whole answer, as we are quite different as we often have intercourse for the sake of intercourse. It can be explained by social needs. I won't disclose more.

Nature wants... Hmmm... Sounds suspiciously like this "nature" is some kind of entitiy with wants and desires, not a set of laws that govern how things happen in the universe. Yet another argument FOR a Creator.
Onar (131 D)

Or maybe it's something a little less... obvious than a creator, no?
A stream of consciousness?
Draugnar (0 DX)
20 Mar 09 UTC
OK, maybe not a creator, but a form of intelligence outside the realm of our understanding. It wants, therefore it must think on some level and have some amount of intelligence.

humans and dolphins are the only living things that have sex for fun...and pigs can have orgasms that last for up to 30 minutes

Budgies/Parakeets and Finches will simulate gay sex if two males are kept in thte smae cage. They'll nest and cuddle up and more...

I have gotten around the "friend trap" on two occasions. HAha suckers. Granted, those have also been my only two relationships. I agree completely with curly about waiting. There aren't enough young adults willing to wait for a longer lasting "trusting" relationship these days. Not that I have anything against nearly every one of my friends.

I think that many parents in the US are afraid that their children are too immature, too emotional, with intelligences not fully realized, and decision making skills not fully realized. I think parents want their children to understand that sex is more than just a way to have pleasure, and if they see it too much in the media at a young age, then children often have trouble realizing this.

There are nearly as many people against more violence in the media. You could argue that our society regulates both fairly evenly; its just parents don't take violence in video games and TV seriously, or they don't have the time.

I agree with Xapi's advice for Thuc. Honesty is easily the most useful strategy in a long term relationship.

Draw In A Gunboat Game?
Is it considered acceptable by gunboat rules - in general - to vote for a draw in one where you think its appropriate? It doesn't REALLY seem to count as press, but it does signal some sentiment.

Oh where did that game go.....
I joined a game last night, and I just checked on it this morning, and the game's not there any more. It was in the pre-game phase. Is there any way this can happen?

Admins, Pause this game?
One of the players will be away this weekend because of his graduation.
He has requested the pause but the vote may not be passed in time.
Can we have one of the admins to please pause this game for us?

Poll: How often do you actually use "view order history"
Edi's comment in the gunboat posts got me thinking about support orders issued that don't show up on the map because the attack they're supporting doesn't happen. How often do players look over the orders issued?

http://www.phpdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=9007

I'm playing France in this game and I had three builds. I ordered Fleet Marseilles, Army Paris, and Army Brest. The army I ordered built in Paris did not appear on the map or in my orders.
