Many diplomacy players believe that they are entitled to say anything at all within the game. If this means insulting or ridiculing other players then they consider it fine. I think you need to look past his comments and try to see iwhat his motives are for insulting you and use that to your advantage.

I personally think the game should be played with a lot more politeness but understand others who feel that diplomacy sometimes needs to be hard talking.
