People go to coffee shops in no small part for the atmosphere. If the atmosphere is that of a Republican pro-Trump protest it will hurt Starbucks far more than the coffee bought by the protesters will compensate for. It would be akin to Black Lives Matter playing very slowly around a golf course.

It makes a lot of sense actually. It's not about boycotting or not going to liberal places like Starbucks. It's about going to a liberal franchise and making a statement. The statement is that we support the President-Elect by ordering a coffee in his name.

Pissing people off enough to get them to touch him so that he could sue the school. It didn't work, but he did make everyone mad.
