Draugnar taught me a lot. He has a vast knowledge on many subjects and when we debated he was never obnoxious or rude to me. Perhaps he reserved that for others, the forum will not be quite the same without him, maybe those who wanted a more sterile site will be happy, those who love a good argument will miss him.

I think he really deserves to get his golden medal back.

Can we be told how much Draug contributed to the site over the years, can that information be made public?
Way more that 95% of the people on this site .... well someone has to pay to keep it going and subsidise the freeloaders

When I first joined the site, I posted in the forum more. I enjoyed my interactions with Draugnar because despite his crankiness, he always seemed to respond positively to calm and reasoned thought.

That's probably why went insane lately.

Like him or not, I believe he loved this place,,, he was a great competitor and he truly wanted the site to be a better place. He will be missed.

All his life he had no points to spend on games. In death, he has points, but can't play.

Fasces, for some reason points don't always get reset to zero when you're banned.

Draugnar had the ability to be a pleasant, stand up guy, but he allowed that part of himself to get overshadowed by his over the top raging. That he talked his way out of here doesn't surprise me.

@ abge: I felt horribly for you during the days when you kept getting pulled back in to moderating, just to act as Draug's personal baby sitter/psycologist. Job would have been jealous of your patience.

When you are banned the site auto sets your points to 0, if someone takes over one of the games you left the points of your buy in are returned to you. Same as the donator badge, a player cannot be banned if they have any special status, so the site auto removes the special status of the badge and then bans them.

Kestas was the only person every to deal with donations, I don't have a clue what anyone has donated or even what amounts equal what colors.

@ abgemacht: There's no need to be melodramatic. If Draugnar had died it would hardly be necessary to ban him from the site as well.

There is no proof, thats why I've been criticizing JMO since the ban.

Draugnar admitted his guilt, guys.

And if you want further proof of his bad intentions in terms of his claims to have been planning an SQL-injection-based attack on WebDip, which was part of the reason for his ban, here is a screenshot from the vDip forums, of a comment posted by Draugnar's vDip account:

In my ongoing PM discussions with Draugs vdip account:
"The SQL injections were something I looked into but not with the intent to damage the site, only with the intent to post bogus bullshit to the forums under other users (mods) names. But kestas has it pretty locked down."

Also he was banned for allegedly committing a DDoS attack, not an SQL injection, so that's not really proof.

I'm largely going to stay out of this because at this point I have significantly less information than the rest of the moderators do, but attacks on SQL databases are no joke. Databases like that can store a lot of confidential and sensitive data, and Draug is more than capable of doing harm even if he had to resort to a blind injection because of kestas' defenses against such attacks. Others may have more to this story than I do, but even the threat of an SQL attack, credible or not (this one happens to be), is more than enough to warrant some serious punishment.

Putting things into perspective we have people on this site that will write pages and pages justifying children being blown up on a beach .... no problem there apparently, someone says that someone did something to a website but produces no evidence it ever happened and they are banned .... is there anyone left who can take a reality check here and come up with a a common sense conclusion, it's nonsense.
