I don't have an opinion on this (I'm not African American), but statistics do show that her own community often doesn't support her. To me, if you're going to play the race card, I will too… she isn't aligning herself with her community; how can she then represent it?

Ummm, krellin is almost but not quite completely incorrect. Appointing first Colin Powell and then Condoleeza Rice does represent a step forward in some narrow way, for people of colour and in the case of Rice, women, in politics in America. However that's not the entire story. We have to weigh the effect of him appointing one woman of colour to his cabinet against the effect of all his policies on such minorities in his tenure as president. You can't spend 8 years pushing policies that overwhelmingly favour extremely wealthy, largely white, males, and then appoint one (count 'em one!) black woman to your cabinet and then say "There see I helped women and people of colour!" That's called tokenism.

OPRAH WINFREY is the most powerful black woman in the world.

Richer, more influential, and she came before Condi and has lasted after her, even after retiring her own show she remains hugely influential.

So yeah--odd, perhaps, but true, and money talks, Oprah beats Condi in terms of total influence, wealth, and power, especially lasting power sustained over time.)

Also yeah, thatwasawkward kind hit the nail on the head there. There is just so much to unpack about the various ways in which what krellin is saying here (I think) is just incredibly racist (and sexist).
