Withdraw sponsorship? Of course not. If F1 doesn't want collusion, it should mandate one car teams. So long as no one is exposed to unnecessary injury/damage, I'm all for making smart tactical decisions within the confines of a sport.

@yayager - what ferrari have done is against the current rules (they have accepted their fine and their guilt) you can argue for a change of rules, but as the rules stand they cheated - pure and simple. The question is do sponsors want to be associated with cheats?

@maniac I doubt most folks think what happened was low down dirty cheating and consequently that sponsors are going pull their name off the car and kit after what they've spent millions to get there. Only a very few die hard fans are going to stop using ferrari's sponsors goods/services because of a smart move in a single race. Sure, some will say it's not cricket, but the fall out from Sunday is probably done for the most part.

Ferrari might still lose their 1 & 2 positions in the race. Which, in my view, they should do. They broke the rules to rig the result and so their positions should be forfeit. It is quite possible that someone bet on Massa to win.

Why are you asking us about the opinions of Ferrari's sponsors?

Ferrari cheating is nothing new, so I doubt the sponsors will be overly concerned by it the cheating per se. What should concern them more is the rather idiotic tactics Ferrari demonstrated. Just when an underperforming Massa seems to have pulled himself back together and regained some form Ferrari have smacked him back down in one of the most publicly humiliating ways possible. They have buggered up their team atmosphere, generated a lot of bad feeling among other drivers, given themselves a huge PR blow, and for what? The chances are Alonso would have passed Massa without help, and if he couldn't then I don't think he has much of a hope of winning the title anyway.

Still, it's nice to have some proper bad guys in F1 again :D. Hating Ferrari wasn't any fun at all when they were just a couple of sad little law abiding cars near the back

In principle I have no problem with team orders, after all the drivers drive for the TEAM, but I put following the rules above that.

BTW Maniac, have you sold your Ferrari yet or stopped buying from any of their sponsors?
