its driving me crazy
every some seconde it opens a new windows

and im on xubuntu

now i installed opera (firefox i was using before), and here i havent gotten any error message

*edit: java isnt actived on opera atm though

you probably have spyware or a virus. When I had a virus on my old compy it would do stuff like that to me all the time. But if I switched to a new browser it would go away for a few days. If you have any security software I'd strongly advise rebooting in safemode and then running a virus scan there overnight.

and as I said this only happens if I go on this site, otherwise nothing happens.

You are encountering an error with the Plura java object. This sits quietly at the bottom of the page and runs a portion of large scale computational projects (similar to SETI) on free cycles.
re G-Lo: Yes you could, and maybe its just me but I think that would be rather scheming. Instead, if you want to disable Plura you should go to:

which will opt you out from it. Please note that Plura is the only source of income (other than donations) for the site, and so if you can please do leave it running.
