I'm looking for a new Diplomacy website to migrate a group of players over to, and I'm investigating this one. Looking at the game set-up options, I don't see the ability to set one time for moves (e.g. 2 days) and another for retreats/builds (e.g. 12 hours). Can anyone let me know if this option is available, or does the "Phase length" option apply uniformly to moves, retreats, and builds?
I recently read a short story called 'The Last Question' by Isaac Asimov. Many here will probably have read it but I HIGHLY recommend it for those that havn't. http://www.multivax.com/last_question.html
It blew my mind for two reasons: 1) The end of the story and it's implications. (Please don't spoil it in this thread) 2) How forward thinking Asimov was to come up with the simple scientific concepts in the story when it was 1956...
I first read that story as a teenager many years ago. It is very good and very thought provoking. I'll echo TheDeacon - those of you who've read the story, please don't spoil the end of it for those who haven't. It is particularly iconic and should be enjoyed in its original form.

I find it amusing that over 40 years after reading the great authors of the Golden Age of Scifi, people rediscovering them are amazed by the depth of the stories.
lol. pretty good story. it all boil down to something. most lines of thinking lead to the same points, like the tip of a pyramid or the end of a rope all reduced to one strand. the further we stretch our understanding the more our thoughts align.
i liked it. i suppose i sort of expected the end though. but it was very very good nonetheless.

I am putting in orders to make a convoy move from Queensland to Korea. Yes, I have the fleets to make the move. I get this error- Parameter 'toTerrID' set to invalid value '129'.
