Game drawn
12 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2006: [Near-East]:4 CDs*
12 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2006: [Ghana]:woooooooow. i think thats called cheating
12 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2006: [Russia]:India what happened? You and old china left because you are brothers and now you came back?
12 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2006: [India]:Well we have a new computer now. And yes GHANA it is sort of cheating, but in a another game I was western canada and my brother India (and if you can help eachother, not). Like I said we were lucky we were neighbours in this game but unlucky that the computer failed us. And what about the others I havent a clou, NEAR EAST.
12 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2006: [Near-East]:Uh, that's not really a good defense. "Well ya, we were cheating, but in another game we tried to cheat but couldn't!"
12 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2006: [China]:I'm not defending them, but I don't think they maliciously thought they were doing something that could be constituted as "cheating" or meta gaming. Otherwise why would he admit it so casually?
12 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2006: [Near-East]:I agree they don't seem to think it was malicious, but it still sounds like from the beginning they intended to aid each other. As he says, they "were lucky [they] were neighbors in this game." They knew who each other was and they planned to exploit it.
13 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2006: [Ghana]:so what do we do? report them, or cancel the game?
13 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Brazil]:I say everyone just team up and kick their asses
13 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Near-East]:Russia and I have put in draw requests, and I've put in a cancel request. Our current China is innocent, but his position was built on metagaming. I don't really know what the official policy would be.
13 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Libya]:im pretty sure metagaming isnt illegal, just frowned upon. and im not voting draw, even though im going away for a week starting tomorrow and will probably be almost dead by the time i get back. but thats life i suppose
13 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Near-East]:You won't be dead. You'll have been taken over long before that.
13 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Libya]:haha the game wont even advance before i go away
13 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Ghana]:i like brazils idea, except its not like we can all attack at once. i think even with libya leaving, the best thing to do is draw
13 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [China]:I don't mean to be a pain, but drawing at this stage would mean I lose points (since I bet more then the rest of you). While I position may have been built on metagaming, I didn't know that when I decided to join the game. However, if more people like India, and maybe some of the lesser 1 unit remaining powers (sorry) get eliminated then I'd agree to a draw. Ideally a draw with 6 or fewer players...
14 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Near-East]:We could cancel the game so everyone gets their points back.
15 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2007: [Near-East]:And our biggest player is about to CD.
15 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2007: [Ghana]:im with near east, and it really doesnt even matter that china bet more, he shouldnt have come in with his brother. but im still up for canceling anyway
15 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2007: [China]:Clarification---I don't have a brother, you're referring to the previous Chinese player, please be more clear next time since I'm not the one who is the problem here.

I think canceling games because people CD is a bit ridiculous, you'd have to cancel over 75% of the games on this site. And it's not because of metagaming either; you've wanted to cancel long before that. I also recall you being unhappy that none of 4 players who left were your enemies. No offense but that just sounds like sour grapes to me.

Look, I'm sorry that you got screwed at the beginning of the game, but I doubt you'd be so itching to cancel if you were unaffected by it. You'd probably think that canceling would be a huge waste of your time. Again, as I said earlier I might be ok with a draw later in the game, but canceling is just a waste of everyone's time.
15 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2007: [Near-East]:I've wanted to cancel since I thought the game was affected by external events. 4 simultaneous CDs, to be followed by a 5th, as well as meta-gaming, counts. I've agreed to cancel games before for similar reasons. And of course I was unhappy they weren't my enemies. Why would 4 CDs of people not near me make me happy? I'd still be unhappy by the loss of so many players, though. No offense, but you're clearly just here for points, not a fair game.
15 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2007: [China]:I don't think it's fair at all for you to say that. If I was here for the points I'd go for the win, since that would give me the most points. But whatever clearly we'll have to agree to disagree here, because we're not the only players.
15 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2007: [Ghana]:just for clarification china, i didnt want to cancel until i heard about the brothers thing, and oh, im sorry. i thought you had been the one with the brother. but since you didnt know, i think if anything, a cancel would be fair. but to be clear, i dont like cancelling usually and i didnt want to cancel before
15 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2007: [Near-East]:It does seem jerkish to draw and screw over eight other players. Of course, since no one else is talking, I suppose it's a bit of a moot point.
21 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 2008: [Near-East]:Goodbye world...
26 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2010: [Argentina]:What do those purple stars next to russia's new units mean?
26 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2010: [Russia]:They are extra elite. They have lasers.
27 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2010: [Ghana]:i thinks its so you can tell their new, like the colors are now per country
27 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2010: [Russia]:I'm pretty sure its lasers. I'll know as soon as I get them in the action.
27 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 2010: [Ghana]:yeah, my mistake, youre probably right. and once you get enough of them, you get to launch a nuke
02 Mar 10 UTC Spring, 2011: GameMaster: This user was banned: Auto. The time until the next phase has been extended from 4 hours, 35 minutes to 1 days (one full phase) so you can find a new player to take his place if you want to.
Make sure to finalize your orders if you don't want
to wait, so the game isn't held up unnecessarily.
02 Mar 10 UTC Spring, 2011: [China]:Well that explains why he wasn't interested in diplomacy. I think at this point we need to just draw and end this game.
02 Mar 10 UTC Spring, 2011: [Ghana]:wait, who was banned? and yeah, thatd be fine with me, but i think my reason should be pretty obvious after getting mauled by first libya then russia
02 Mar 10 UTC Spring, 2011: [China]:Western Canada was banned.
02 Mar 10 UTC Spring, 2011: [Ghana]:yeah, i realized that when i looked at the bottom, but thanks anyway haha
03 Mar 10 UTC Spring, 2011: [Russia]:yeah lets draw it
03 Mar 10 UTC Spring, 2011: [Ghana]:im surprised youre up for that, and chinas not lol
03 Mar 10 UTC Spring, 2011: [Russia]:China said he was
04 Mar 10 UTC Spring, 2011: [Argentina]:i'm fine with drawing. in the meantime i plan on attacking the remains of western canada
04 Mar 10 UTC [China]:I'm ok with it.
04 Mar 10 UTC [China]:Just not sure if we should wait till the end of the turn or not.
04 Mar 10 UTC [China]:Whatever.. this game is kind of a sham anyway.
04 Mar 10 UTC [Russia]:Yeah it was just a race to pick up CD'd countries.
04 Mar 10 UTC [Near-East]:Agreed.
04 Mar 10 UTC [China]:I guess South Africa and Brazil are not interested...
04 Mar 10 UTC [Russia]:They probably haven't seen it yet
05 Mar 10 UTC [Ghana]:i wonder if brazil is gonna be one of those guys that will make everyone else kill him before he draws?
05 Mar 10 UTC [Russia]:well more points for us then...
05 Mar 10 UTC [Argentina]:no way! south africa got as much as china! now that's just unfair we should have waited a turn for them to die.
05 Mar 10 UTC [Russia]:Well good game kind of guys
05 Mar 10 UTC [South-Africa]:i can't believe you didn't wait for me to die. i can only thank you sincerely.
i agree that it's unfair however.
