To purposefully lose... is not something I think I could handle... :( And unfortunately speeding up would only be possible if other players were quick as well.

When do estimate the starting time will be?

How about start a one hour game, find 6 people who will help you out, have them kill you quickly then draw the game.

Besides, purposely losing one game wouldn't help him because he's got over 300 points invested in his various games. He would have to purposely lose multiple games to get under 100 to get some points back and only a week to do it in. So going to Kestas might be the only reasonable way to do it.

5 points for the first game, but then you need another 5 two weeks later, and again for the third and fourth games.

Another thought. You could ask the other players in one of your new games if they would be willing to all /draw so everyone gets their points back and then they can start up another game without you.

I think Alderian's suggestion is the best.

Explain your situation to all your co-diplomaters, and its likely that at least one of the groups will understand and do you that favor.

On the other hand, they are all just starting. Why on earth did you start so many games as to loose all your points in the last week or so?

That won't help him, he won't get points back because he has invested 101 points only in the game "Not another Diplomacy game!?"

I think its unlikely that everyone will agree to draw any of my games simply because I unconvenienced myself by being dumb.

The reason I am down to zero is thus;

A while ago last year I had something like 500 points invested in games. For personal reasons I stopped abruptly, thus falling into CD, being subjected to takeover, and resultingly losing all those points.

When I rejoined php a week ago, I wanted to join as many games as I could, and in my excitement failed to save any of them :(



I am going to email Kestas to see if points can be manipulated by gameaster. If so, I will ask if I can 'borrow' five points. I am condfident that I will have at least some points by 3-4 weeks from now.

Nothing personal against you sword, but I don't think it is a good "principle" (don't know if this is really an engliah word) to borrow points to users. That would open the door for other similar situations.

You know.. I have been trying to get a game going with some RL friends for awhile now, but, like Sword, I spent all my points. I went so far as to "try" to lose a game by doing some really stupid things in it, but no matter how bad my position gets, I just can't help but to keep clawing and fighting and writing press like a madman to stay alive. I don't know if it's even possible for me to try to lose. The worse it gets, the more I want to come back and kick everyone's ass...
What's wrong with me? LoL...
