Hold on Flashy! I have come to the rescue - the final GFDT game has now FINISHED. My long time ally, lazysummer, should also now be through to the next round.

Apologies you had to wait this long! I'm now into double figures for wins, and down to just a single game :( Roll on the leagues and GFDT!

Sorry Darwyn. It took a lot longer than expected as we were up against the top Ghostrating player on the site, the Mastergamer, who I have to say played with honour and good heart right throughout the game. If you are reading this, I thank you for continuing to play, when we were wearing you down and some players would have considered CDing.

He was also really tough to break down, his defences strong, and that's why it took so long. Satisfying in the end, as I fulfilled a promise to help lazy through to the next round after he swapped sides at a crucial point in the game when the Mastergamer was close to winning - it changed the whole complex of the game.

Also, apologies to Ivo, who I know was harbouring slight hopes of me just taking the win, knocking both out and letting him sneak in the back door!

lazy, remember that I helped you to three vital points in our game too!

Not a problem - I was surprised I even had a shot - would have been weird to progress.
We'll obviously have to create a 50K-point game with TMG, Marek, etc. next time these are to start to avoid the tall-poppy syndrome :)

Everyone who's eligible for Round 2 will be receiving an email this week to confirm they're planning to play. If you were close to the top 21, there's the slightest of chances that someone will drop and you'll get another shot.

Once all the players are confirmed, the games will commence, I'm shooting for a week or so after the spring leagues start since there's so much overlap in players.
