Santa and Jesus are WHITE GODDAMNIT, says Megyn Kelly
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/fox-news-host-megyn-kelly-says-jesus-and-santa-are-white-193322244.html
1. We'll leave Jesus being a "historical figure" alone here, that's up in the air (not even saying I don't think he might've been, just saying.)
2. ...Does it REALLY matter if people want a Black Santa? Really?
3. You're gonna tell me a Jew in the Middle East 2,000 years ago had pearly-white skin? O.o Um...no.

21 million Bitcoins
There are currently just over 12m Bitcoins in circulation. The number of Bitcoins allowed to exist is capped at 21m Bitcoins - once the 21 millionth Bitcoin has been mined, no new Bitcoins will be created.

What will happen when the 21m Bitcoin mark is reached?

Time Stamp
A time stamp seems like a bit of a weird thing to include standard in a diplomacy game. For the older members, has it always been here? Was there a reasoning behind its implementation?

You'll never guess what my Biology teacher teached me...
Some not-too-fast girl thought there's oxygen in your urine.
The teacher explained: "there are no bubbles coming out of your wheenie!!" or something like that, roughly translated. She's hilarious.
In all honesty that was a small walk down memory lane, but anyway :)

Abolish the TSA
This editorial was in USA Today (!) and makes a pretty good case - the TSA has never actually caught a terrorist, its incentives do not line up with those of travelers, and the type of terrorism it was designed to deter doesn't actually happen anymore.

We emphatically and humbly apologize for stealing your degrees. Here in the best state in the nation, we are used to a certain amount of degrees in our daily life. We are embarrassed to admit that, in a time of weakness, we let our desires overtake our morals. We wanted the same number of degrees that we are accustomed to, and we are ashamed to admit that we turned to illicit activities in order to attain them.

We want to do the right thing, though. Effective immediately, we will begin the process of returning degrees to their rightful owner. We currently have 82 full degrees to return. To strive to be fair to all states, we will give each stack back 1/4 of a degree. I know this doesn't add up to the amount we stole from you, but it's all we have left that we can afford to give away. We have a minimum operating degree requirement of 70 degrees. If we fall below this, our oceans will freeze. Because we are below sea level, our entire population will be encased in ice. Because we are a state ran by the people, for the people, we refuse to let this happen.

We do, however, want to make this right. We will be gradually giving you additioned degrees that we gain, until our debt is repayed. Or until we get near the critical 70-degree threshold and need to steal more.

P.S. You lot aren't so innocent yourselves, and are hypocrites for your outrage of our theft. You are doing to Canada what we are doing to you. Just because nobody cares about them doesn't make it right to steal from them. Haven't you learned by now that abusing the low class is wrong?

Since Texas is (or recently was) buried under ice, perhaps you should do those cowpeoples a favor and start by giving them their degrees back first.

We Michiganders are enjoying some sub-zero wind chill factors this week, but we're doing just find, thank you very much, and don't need your stinkin' degrees back anyway. We're gonna make a fire and get naked under a blanket to keep warm.
Best state in the nation? I thought Florida was a bunch of old people who couldn't figure out how to vote.

@krellin
The state has considered the unique situation between Texas, Michigan, and ourselves. We have resolved to honor your request in the following way: Michigan's initial 1/4 degree will go to Texas, and so will any other future degrees heading Michigan's way.

@THM
You are correct. Keep in mind, however, these old people are actually from up north, but decided to retire here because we are awesome.

@bo_sox
You sir, simply get it. On this day, we recognize you you as an Honorary Floridian. Don't worry, this will only last until April. Then you're a filthy sox fan, once again.

@Skittles:
You traitorous little... I just wanted the rain, someone gave us too many degrees!

Inheritance Tax
I an inheritance tax (on sums larger than a certain amount, leaving a small sum to the heirs), keeps the capitalistic system going, levels the economic playing field somewhat, and requires the would-be dependents to go out and work. Furthermore, one who didn't want to pay in the form of taxes could give to the community through charitable donations. This system was supported by Andrew Carnegie in his "Gospel of Wealth", what arguments could be raised against it?

The son of rich Dallas parents got two years probation at a ultra rich rehab camp after killing 4 people and injured others when he drove at 70 mph into the group helping a motorist change a tire. The kid claimed he couldn't tell right from wrong because his parents bought him everything including apparently the judge.

Gunboat Games
What is the best way to improve at gunboat games? I've been told several times that I am a worthless waste of space. And I would like to become a waste of space with a minuscule bit of worth. How can I bridge the gap? I tend to do better when I can manipulate people into what I want them to do.
