You know Merida is more badass then Lucy. Lucy eventually turns away from Narnia and leaves behind her bow. Merida fights for her own rights with a bow. Sadly they had to go and change how she looks, but Disney does what Disney wants.

Everyone was more badass than Lucy. What did she have? A dagger and a bottle of magic healing potion? Meh...

But I agree that Merida should *not* be getting the makeover from Disney. It's a step in the wrong direction. Lilo was a brave little girl and her older sister hardly fit the "classic beauty" mold. Both were independent and strong. Merida combined both together in a very positive way. I thought disney was making strides and then they pull that shit.

In response to overwhelming public disapproval, Disney ditched the Merida makeover plan.
