Oh really? Hmm...I never do well as Germany...so...I shouldn't be giving advice at all.

I had not 1 single country in the West. I got every Eastern country once and Italy twice, lol. At least now I know how the Balkans work.

i seemed to get the west in this tourney.. which might explain why i sucked so badly. I do my best as Turkey and Italy

Lol, well that matches you not being aggressive enough. I lose my games by being too aggressive. I'm either in it to the end (2 games for 33 SCs), or I get knocked out :P

well, with Turkey and Italy i do get my agressiveness in. Like with Turkey, if i control the Balkans and England is putting pressure on Russia, i have waged wars with both of them at once (almost solo'ed, if i remeber correctly) and i blitz like crazy as Italy, it just works with those countries. Germany makes me paranoid that everyone is going to crush me

In my defense FD, I had a bone to pick with Austria and was just waiting for the opportune moment to take him out...and I did...also look at the moves, I supported you into Berlin...AND denmark. we could have made off like gay lovers. ;) I took norway because I desparately needed that build to fend off austria, and you understood and I held on to you as long as possible. but in order to hold france in the north I needed to get it taken care of...I was really debating sweden....GEEZ, i could have won if I had JUST taken sweden!!!

well that completely screwed me :|. And gave France the solo in the long run

I do a pretty good Germany...you don't usually need more than 3 fleets EVER...you want to take on england with france...always....because england with too many fleets touches all of your centers (with the exception of Munich).

i always like building lots of armies with England. My English solo only came because i built tons and tons of armies

you need at least 5 fleets in the end-game with england though in case people challenge you.

they usually have to be situated in MAO, NAO, EnC, Baltic and Bre

i usually don't build them as England unless i really need until mid game. 2-3 fleets in the beginning and the start of hte mid game work just fine

well, my English solo had 7 fleets, but two of them would have better been armies.

I don't know which is more impresisve: Game 1 Austria or Game 3 Russia. Both ended with 15 SCs. Only twice did Austria and Russia even survive, and both times the other survival had only a single SC.

Id say Game 3 russia was the most impressive...I spent my whole life trying to get on austrian ass...

Turned out to be an interesting tourney, and another new winner. I had no idea who was the man in blue ..... I hope you where the title with pride and are up for the Champions Tourney in the Autumn...... Sandgoose made a noble effort and was a respectable Runner-Up.... 2 former champs both solo'd but then crashed and burned in the intense heat of competition...........
