Let a few schools teach "Intelligent Design," but have them do it from the Muslim or Nordic or Greco-Roman or Aztec perspective...

And THEN see how long until they're happy to take their made-up"science" back where it belongs, namely, out of science classes altogether and back into their Sunday Super Secret Special Club.

PE and I actually live in this pit of stupid. We're not so optimistic.

We just celebrated Independence Day, for goodness' sake, and that arguably never happens if Paine doesn't publish "Common Sense," so he certainly counts as a founder...

And he's the same man who wrote "The Age of Reason," wherein he openly ATTACKS the Christian Church and the idea of organized religion as a whole in favor of a very, very limited form of Deism (if he could have come out and said it, he'd probably have identified as agnostic or atheist.)

"Founders' Religion" indeed...

She's giving money to schools--she needs to attend one HERSELF, if this is her understanding of American history.

HOW COULD SHE POSSIBLY BE WRONG

I feel really really bad for those children and grandchildren and soccer players and fellow representatives and anyone who thinks anything remotely similar to what she thinks. Well, she doesn't think. What she says.

It doesn't much matter, though, does it? She may not have meant that, but thanks to the constraints of the Constitution, that's how the law was written, and that's what will happen. The system working, as far as I'm concerned.

It's just scary and sad that those of us who believe in a fiscally conservative approach and small government get lumped in with these whack jobs who don't even see the inherent inequality and stupidity of their narrow, close-minded views...
