In all honesty

We tried this on vdip a while ago but It never really worked out, I still think its a cool concept though and was wondering if people here would like to try it. The idea is a classic game where you aren't allowed I lie. That doesn't mean you won't misdirect, or mislead people, but you can't outright lie.

How to get a sitter

My wife has reached full term and could go into labor any day now. So I figured I would go ahead and try and get sitters now while I have time (so that others don't have to wait later). The problem is I have no idea how the process works. What steps do I need to take?

Italian A Tyrolia to Munich has got to be one of the worst early game moves.

Unless this is carefully arranged bilaterally, I cannot possibly see any merit to this whatsoever. Yet I've been hit by it not once but multiple times recently, so clearly someone disagrees... so can someone tell me what the point of this move is?

Do people understand the meaning of diplomacy?

This is a very clever game, but I have to say there is a fine line between being diplomatic and lying your butt off, and I have to say I'm not impressed by the way some players play.

There used to be a time when I used to keep refreshing my home page to see what was new on the forums. Now there's just so much trash talk and so many muted threads/people that my forum column on the home page is just empty. Screw you trolls. You ruined my webdip experience.

NEW GAME

Hi forum! I'm in two games right now and will drop down to 0 pretty soon. I'd like to start a new game with those interested. It will be:
WTA, non-anon (preferred), 2-day phases, 25

Assignment of Points in Draws/Survives

How are points divvied up in a PpSC win? For instance, say the pot has 170, the winner has 19 SCs, and others have 14 SCs and 1 SC respectively?

XBOX 360 League...

Hey - bought the 360 for Christmas and love it...except I miss multiplayer gaming from my endless years of PC gaming. What good 360 games are there -- and would there be interest in settingupa league of some sort? (LOVE my NCAA football, if you need a beat down...)

Intense game everyone. I was kicking myself for losing Berlin and Munich with the nmring units, but I think as I look at it that I couldn't have made it past 17.

Great game,you should have won Barn though having this great Italian player.
Me and Germany were lucky not to lose it in the end because you could have holded Munich and could have taken St.peterburg before I came with four units there.

I never had a good shot St. Pete's. If I had entered my orders in differntly one season, I would have solo'd. that was just unfortunate guessing though. After that I was stumped at 17 tops.

autumn 12 - had you held berlin and ordered ion-tun supported by rom and apu, you would have won for sure... unless they had support tun-ion of course!

it would require a great deal of coordination, and I think Italy was playing quite poorly once you started to grow, so that would not be such a big concern for me...

Barn3tt you would have soloed if you entered moves the year you lost Berlin. Also vaft played a decent opening game but in the mid game you just have to cut it out with Austria going so big.

That's allways "the problem" for Italy in AUS/ITA as Ita has to be stabed at some point being so much weaker then Austria after they get over with the Lepanto.I tell that to Barnett allways when he say I'm "a pain" to him when he plays Austria and me Italy. Now look Barnet what happens when Italy is not "a pain" to you.

I made a conscious choice to side with Austria because so often, as Italy, my anti-Austrian efforts only empower R-T. Not only that, I'm sure I've been admonished by Split for doing exactly what I spoke of above. Seems I'm damned when I do and when I don't. Sigh

I think that A-I is a good team. The problem emerges, as in R-T or any other combo when one of them gets way too big. There were several points where I decided against building a fleet and maintain my alliance with Italy. I think MM should have pushed harder for Turkish centers. If he had been a bit bigger, I wouldn't have gone after him in the end and France would have realized that Germany was the natural player to edge out.

I should have convoyed Apulia to Smyrna, and tried to get at least two Turkish SC's. But, I was concerned that once my army left Apulia, Austria could take Venice; thus leaving all my units stranded far afield. Much must be risked in war I suppose, and I played too conservatively.
