In all honesty

We tried this on vdip a while ago but It never really worked out, I still think its a cool concept though and was wondering if people here would like to try it. The idea is a classic game where you aren't allowed I lie. That doesn't mean you won't misdirect, or mislead people, but you can't outright lie.

How to get a sitter

My wife has reached full term and could go into labor any day now. So I figured I would go ahead and try and get sitters now while I have time (so that others don't have to wait later). The problem is I have no idea how the process works. What steps do I need to take?

Italian A Tyrolia to Munich has got to be one of the worst early game moves.

Unless this is carefully arranged bilaterally, I cannot possibly see any merit to this whatsoever. Yet I've been hit by it not once but multiple times recently, so clearly someone disagrees... so can someone tell me what the point of this move is?

Do people understand the meaning of diplomacy?

This is a very clever game, but I have to say there is a fine line between being diplomatic and lying your butt off, and I have to say I'm not impressed by the way some players play.

Assignment of Points in Draws/Survives

How are points divvied up in a PpSC win? For instance, say the pot has 170, the winner has 19 SCs, and others have 14 SCs and 1 SC respectively?

I played Advance Wars 2 on GBA and Dual Strike on NDS, only Pokémon came close to the hour count I racked up on AW.

I remember that series! Yes, banning COs is very important. I think AW2 and 3 had more balance than AW1. IIRC, AW1 had the most broken powers of all the games.

True, Max was extremely overpowered in the first game, but then you had Collin and Hachi in number two, and Collin with Sasha in number three is just crazy.

Max wasn't really overpowered in the first one. I was shocked at how crazy Andy was. I never played anyone else, his troop maintenance is crazy for my play style.

Hmmm...yeah....played that years ago onthe Nintendo....and it's really just a poor copy of old board games like Squad Leader put out by Avalon Hill 40 years ago.

I mean, I like Advance Wars and all...but amazing? Yeah, about as amazing as those fancy, new-fangled phones WITHOUT cords...

Haven't played Squad Leader in probably 25 years, but my brother and I grew up spending paper route money to buy expansions. It was a fantastic game. I played all sorts of Avalon Hill games as a kid - Russian Campaign, Submarine, Wooden Ships and Iron Men, King Maker, and on and on...
