Also, if you zoom in and out on some of them (well, the one with the snake) it changes.

Safari and IE have the same comic as well. I just checked.

It changes if you link from wiki, or fb, or twitter... Christ he went through a lot of work. Reading the thread on the xkcd forums - it's nuts.

i'm not getting it. why is it so mind blowing again? I viewed it on Chrome (I actually have xkcd open up automatically on one of my opening tabs)... and I shared it on FB. but I'm not quite sure why you all are blown away by this particular strip.

I wouldn't say it was mindblowing but it is different. You need to view the same page in different browsers to get what eeryone is talking about.

It's pretty mind blowing once you realize the shear number of different possibilities he thought of.

Looking through the thread on the xkcd forum, some of the ones are from people logging in using Netscape or from a military computer. There are also a ton tailored to different places around the world. The shear nunber of variations he thought up is pretty crazy and I'm sure there are plenty yet to be discovered.

The xkcd forum has a lot of screen pics. But there may be some that no one reports, for example, what if he has one for anyone reading it from Nepal? Odds that someone from Nepal will post a screenshot? I hope he eventually provides links to all of them as there are some very cool ones.

The northern lights one was really neat and I saw several screen shots of it, and then I saw a version of the northern lights with a dinosaur, presumably requiring a wider screen to see, similar to the snake and turtle. So who knows what else might be missing from the screen shots.

Some of us just got Friday's repeated. I see XKCD in my iGoogle page and it is still showing Friday's.

So I checked it twice today, once on IE at school, got a snake that would change size and crap if you zoomed in and out (at one point there was a portal)

Now on firefox I saw a reference to Toronto's winters :)

When my laptop gets repaired I'll probably check on chrome, IE and firefox from various locations.
