Yeah, i'd lvoe to see global/regional meet-ups, but having local *(London/Cambridge/South East game or INSERT_us-STATE_HERE) meet-ups which sent one member to a regional meet-up (Europe, US, whereeva) and then if possible a global meet - would be cool...

Why do i feel the need to make everything bigger and better? Well if you can find local players to come to a local tournie (whatever local means...) then i'd say go for it, why limit yourself to the webdip player base??

It would be a good way to introduce us to f2f play without having to jump straight into a tourney. Besides, we might have a better time playing along with people we 'know'.

true... but still better to have an event than not. And f2f play in a local game doesn't have to mean entry into a tournament...

i was suggesting that local games send a player, not neccesarily the winner, if the winner can't travel to a regional game then they can jsut send someone else who wants to travel... *thinking out loud*

I'm in London so travel to most places fairly straightfoward for me.

Why did money have to get involved? I play for fun and conversation. If I want to play a game for money, I play poker. A small prize and a trophy to the winner is fine, but no cash play for me.

While the other all meet in Boston we should do something in the London/ Cambridge/ SE area. We should get pictures of both games and get them online somewhere...then plan for a world showdown.

@Zombie-there's only 6 hours of flying time between us "over the pond", can't we meet in the middle , like maybe in Bermuda, or book some discount tix on a transatlantic cruise or something?

I'm in Chester , would probably be able to make a southeast Uk game if given sufficient notice.

Im up for meeting you all. Playing Dip will be a bonus and both a UK and an international meeting is fine with me! In fact, ill even get my hair done nice for the photo's :)

@Crazy - Bermuda would be perfect.

I'm organizing the Boston tournament in early June now, however I would love to also attend the European one if I am invited and if it fits in my schedule. Bermuda, London, southeast UK, Azores, Spain, I'm up for all of those places!
