Odd why wouldn't a pocket altas not state the Argetine Sea? I have Rive Plate because it was the only body of water in the area to be labelled on the map of South America.

Both Northern Oceans are wrong and I did fix that and a couple other errors. just haven't updated it yet.

Looking at it again, I can see that Brazil has 5 SCs to balance Argentina and Columbia. I also did not include Bermuda and FdF in my first look so things aren't as bad as I thought there.

I suppose there's not much you can do about the crowded territories, but you could at least add another country in Western Africa, and maybe change the balance between South Africa and Congo maybe by giving Congo another SC or by adding a country in East Africa. Without these changes, Egypt and Nigeria have unobstructed access to more than 5 SCs each. This doesn't seem right compared to Pakistan which has only three highly contested SCs.

at Ural: there is only two logically additions to Africa. Algeria and Ethiopia; Since Eritea was crushed in the battlefield it can't be too hard to assume that Ethiopia became a rogue state and contiunce to occupy Eritea

Not saying the canada should be a power. I understand the reasoning behind that. I do get why you placed the SC's where you do. However if you are going to accuracy then you should make SC's where the big cities are, rather then where tactically makes sense. In some places you have gone for accuracy in others making a balanced map, I'd prefer a balanced map but if you want to make an accurate modern map that's fine, but make it consistent.

I know it's a rough draft, you asked for suggestions and I'm giving you them. Honestly I hate world maps for diplomacy. Make it how you want to make it, just giving you an opinion. Well aware of the fact that it's a rough draft, however if you want to discourage comments calling people stupid and yelling is going to do so. This post is partially to see if I can actually post anything without being logged out. But also I considered saying something along the same lines as damian, and then I realized that both Australia and Canada would only have access to one SC initially. And USA has enough free SCs already to add Toronto. Believe me this kind of criticism is lite compared to having a research paper torn apart line by line.

It was more you getting made at me for making a comment, I have no preconceived notion that I know you in the least. However my posts are not intended as insults to you, merely to try and help you improve your map which you have said a rough draft.

airborne: Yeah, I actually agree with damian that that is something you have to keep in mind. (To decide on accuracy vs. balance.) I actually prefer accuracy. Balanced world maps already exist, and I like challenges. damian and I are only suggesting future directions to take. That's hardly criticizing and not at all insulting.
